they spread like the plague and those other folks and are just as unwanted and disliked

Ok first of all,

H/T to N.J.Yankee here at bmews.

I don’t know when he sent this to me but I found it only a short while ago. That’s because it’s the first time in too many weeks since checking that email account.  Very often I just can’t check it as often as I should or would like to.

The problems with this protected group as a newly discovered “race” aren’t new.  I’ve been sharing the horror stories almost as long as I have been with this blog. Usually (and not lately) the stories are centered here in the UK or more likely in England.  Because they crop up so often, I started to ignore all but the more outrageous.  Of which there have not, thankfully, been any recorded lately.  Understand however that will change dramatically after Jan. 2014, with the expected new influx of that odious disease that passes for human beings, and can no more be offended than muslims without a charge of racism brought against one.

Ignored but not intentionally is the activity of this group outside these borders.  I hadn’t given any thought to them in relation to countries like Sweden, until New Jersey Yankee sent the following.
Like the plague they are, they spread.

NJ Yank has been living in Ireland for some years and exchanging mail as well as reading his comments here at bmews, his association with that place has not been an altogether happy one.  Another misplaced American who misses home, soon the lucky dog will will return leaving some of us behind. There, that should make him feel guilty.  Or not. Prolly not.

ANOTHER CASE OF LIBERAL, EUROWEENIE JUSTICE:

Legally housed students forced out while illegal camped Irish Gypsies can’t be moved, arrested or otherwise made to obey the law. WHY? Because it’s against their “human rights”!

A few years ago about 50 Gypos invaded Wexford, Ireland on a holiday (3-day) weekend. The Garda (police) did nothing and the knackers only moved from the illegal camp site after a Group of Wexford merchants collected enough money to pay them to leave because no decent citizens would enter the town for fear of being assaulted and/or robbed.

Students forced out over traveller violence fears

Stockholm University
exchange students have been told to leave their accommodation immediately after a community travellers set up an illegal camp nearby, raising concerns for the students’ safety.

Doug Revolta, an Erasmus student from the UK, had been living since mid-January in Stockholm University accommodation in the capital city’s northern suburbs.

“I was having a great time here, and when they offered us the chance to extend our lease back in April I said yes, absolutely. I wanted to stay here for Swedish midsummer,” he told The Local.

However, the plan took an unexpected turn this week when the university housing office sent an email to Revolta and his fellow students warning them that a nearby travelling community (Gypsies) had caused enough concern that the students should move out.

“Because of the people who illegally moved into the parking area close to your apartments, we have decided that all students will be moved on June 17th,” the university wrote in an email to the students.

“The Housing Office at Stockholm University have done everything we can to resolve the situation, but our possibilities are very limited,” the university added, also warning that if “something happens” the students should call the police.

In a follow-up email sent on Friday, the message was more urgent:

“We would like everyone to move out today. We cannot guarantee the security for students over the weekend anymore.”

The move was sparked by a community of what Revolta estimates to be 50 families living in caravans in a nearby car park. The families have got out of hand in recent weeks, according to Revolta, who said that some of his classmates had nearly been run over by the community’s vehicles. Some students, including himself, have even been threatened by the families.

A police spokeswoman confirmed that the families are on the police radar.

“It is hard for us to control, they are uninvited and living on land that the university claims does not belong to them,”.

“Patrols have been sent out several times, but nothing has happened there, I can’t confirm that we have made any arrests. We don’t usually arrest people just for camping illegally,” she added.

“But this is a recurring problem that we have every year, it’s people from all kinds of places making things very problematic around these areas for a lot of people.”

Appelgren pointed to excessive noise and garbage pile-ups as some of the complaints the police receive.

Bo Sundin, Moderate Party chairman of the Stockholm city district of Rinkeby-Kista, had yet to hear about the university students, but was familiar with the caravan families in the area.

“We are not interested in having them in around here, not even in Stockholm. But it’s hard, when we force them away, they move to another place,”

“The caravan people are coming here in summer each year trying to find work, and it causes a lot of problems that often involve police. It’s mostly bad conditions for the people living there, and a lot of them have children. And they often leave a lot of mess behind them when they go.”

“Another problem is that many of them are on the black market, but made their way here because they’re from other European countries and it’s easy for them to move.”

Sundin added that the problem would be best solved if police acted faster.

“The police should force them away as soon as they learn about them, I’d actually hoped it would be done by now.”

With the students having to head to the newly arranged accommodation by Friday night, there have been mixed reactions among the Erasmus students.
“Everyone was just annoyed at first, actually, but now a lot of people are worried. The girls are really scared, they don’t feel safe,” student Doug Revolta said.

Meanwhile, the local police are working hard to keep the peace.

“We get a lot of calls about it and we are conscious that there’s a problem,” spokeswoman Helena Appelgren told The Local.

“But we’re working there all the time and trying to solve the problem, but these things can take a lot of time.”

An update to this ...  amid anger by some students who said they paid to be where they were and had every right , the police finally moved in and moved the gypos out to someplace else where they could set their plague down amidst another group of innocents.

Let me Try Again

I had a whole post, my take on Left vs Right and the “urban youth” “gun violence problem” in Milwaukee. Point versus Counter Point.  91% of the shootings involving one ethnic group, 77% of the fatalities. Did my whole analysis, decided that this is a Crab Bucket culture, and that the only thing any kind of infinite, never ending Great Society assistance is going to do is make a bigger bucket for more crabs. Depressed, threw the whole thing away.

So here’s a story from the other day that’s only nearly as depressing. A father and son team was on trial for being pimps and running hoes. Well, for “sex trafficking”, whatever that means. In direct and to-the-letter violation of the Mann Act, they were keeping prostitutes in Allentown PA and commuting them (right past my home) to New York City to work. Crossing state lines for immoral purposes*. They admitted they were pimps, and all their hoes testified. But they testified that they were well treated, and were happy to turn tricks for their Mack Daddys. So the judge let them off, instead only finding them guilty of “promoting prostitution”. Whatever that means. What, did they put up a billboard by the side of the highway? Happy Hookers, Exit 7?

And just how “not guilty” were these two? The judge also found them and 4 others guilty of money laundering the profits from their “promoted” illicit business.  Each of the “professional masseuses”, tattooed with ownership data even including a bar code, brought in a half million a year yet had no money or assets of their own. We’re looking at millions here, at a hundred bucks a trick.

image

Prosecutors had hours worth of wiretaps where the two would threaten their hoes with beatings if they didn’t bring in the green. But they was all just a big loving family, so never mind.

This will make you heave:

Defense attorneys called the mixed verdict a victory. They said they would appeal the convictions.

The loving relationship between pimps and prostitutes “was vindicated,” David Epstein, the son’s attorney, said outside court. “It’s a moral victory as well as a legal one.”

Link 1 and Link 2.

This is another indicator of feral barbarism, just like the Milwaukee story I decided not to write about. This is slavery, cut and dried. No gray area at all.

I think it’s Line In The Sand time: It is my studied opinion that no cultural group that ignores, accepts, permits ... no, GLORIFIES the dehumanization of women through their use as owned property - livestock - through illegal prostitution has any right whatsoever to talk about freedom or equality. If your group uses “pimp” as a verb that means anything positive [aka “pimp my ride”, “pimp my crib” “pimp my bride” “dat’s so pimp!"] then you have neither nor do you deserve either. Period.

Well Duh, Drew. That’s The Golden Rule, pretty much. Only maybe backwards.

No, there’s no point in mentioning that the judge is an idiot. You’ve got pimps who say they are pimps, you’ve got hoes kept as property branded with owner’s ID saying they are hoes for those, a multi-million dollar operation run across 3 states (New Jersery, the Pass Through state) ... but this isn’t sex trafficking.

war photography as I haven’t seen it. not even in the movies. and we still lost?

Sometimes I believe I have to be the dumbest person here or else a total masochist or perhaps both.

Why oh why, knowing exactly what I would find, do I continue to read all the bullshit trashy anti-American comments that follow a story like this one.
It’s always the same and still I learn nothing and go back for more.
There has to be some kind of serious malfunction of the brain to allow for that sort of stupidity.  What makes it even worse is, I’m the guy who liked to think he didn’t make the same mistake more than once or 2wice at the most.  Different ones to be sure, but not a repeat of the same.  Of course, these are not mistakes. Are they?  More like self inflicted wounds.

So a note my readers in the USA. Do yourself a favor and just pass on the comments at the end of the article I am posting here. Ignore them.

By ignore comments, I mean those comments at the link below, not the bmews comments. We welcome those even if you don’t agree with some pov you read here.  It’s the damn anti-USA stuff that follows the article itself when you link to the whole story and all of the pix.  So many experts on America all saying the same parrot BS. A pox on them.

Astonishing Vietnam War photos reveal the moment U.S. troops unleashed hell on Viet Cong sniper in hills above an Army camp

By Daily Mail Reporter

A Vietnam War veteran has released incredible night-time photographs he took of American troops opening fire on a Viet Cong sniper who had been firing on a U.S. Army camp.

For more than four decades, photographer James Speed Hensinger kept these incredible photographs to himself, not releasing them to the public until now.

Hensinger was just a 22-year-old paratrooper with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in April 1970 when a Viet Cong sniper began spraying automatic rifle fire on Hensinger’s base in Phu Tai, near the coastal city of Da Nang.

image

Hensinger set up his Nikon FTN camera to take long exposures to capture the firefight. Each shot includes 15 to 60 seconds of gunfire.

When the Viet Cong sniper began shooting, the Americans unleashed hell.

An M42 self-propelled anti-aircraft gun began pouring cannon and machine gun fire into the hills above the camp.

Where Not To Send Your College Kids

NYU joins the list, for hiring terrorists on the faculty.

You know, I could see the advantage of this, IF these creeps were held up to endless ridicule and poop flinging. A kind of reverse monkeys at the zoo scenario. So that people would learn. And mock. And understand how uncool murdering thugs like Che and Bill Ayers really are.

But no, that’s not how it is in the mirror image Bizarro World that is      Marxist Indoctrination     a liberal arts education.

And now we can add NYU to that list. [old news from April. So what? She’s still a murdering terrorist]

I don’t care if she’s done her time. I don’t care if she teaches a class for advanced criminologists/social worker wannabes about ex-cons getting back into society. Is such a class even necessary?

The Weather Underground pulled their big Brinks Robbery at my mall when I was a young man. They shot up the guards, went on a wild car chase, and killed two police officers in my county. I’ll hound them forever.

Better but not better enough

Still under my own dark cloud. Less sinus pain, less congestion today. Not quite as exhausted, but I still went back to bed 3 times since morning. Even had something to chew on around breakfast and lunch. Will try to stay up for 5 hours this time.

Why of course I’m better - I stopping in at the store last night and bought a whole pile of OTC meds. A round robin of fresh pain relievers, a new bottle of anti-histamine, even some NyQuil (didn’t need it). Well, if nothing else our pain meds are all in code finally. I think that’s overrated personally, to sell more product. Aspirin lasts forever in the closet with the cap on tight.

here we go again, round and round

Oh Boy.
Round and round we go. Again.

It’s been awhile since I saw a copy hard or net, of my once much read IBD.  Investors Business Daily. Been a long time.

So I found myself looking for something to do with MSFT (Microsoft) and heaven only knows what button I clicked, but I got this.  No relation to MSFT at all unless they take over health care.

I have been under the (mistaken?) impression that O’s health care scheme was shot down or being altered and delayed. I guess not though.

It won’t have a bearing on us until we can return for good, and that doesn’t look to be the case soon, but if I understand everything Drew and others have said, when and if we return, we could be forced into a health care program.
Is that correct?  Of course, with doctors and hospitals and the gouging we all should have health ins.  The problem will be affordability. And you can’t afford to not have it.  But I don’t see where O’s health reform, reforms anything. Do you?  Did I miss anything?

Anyway, here’s what I found in the IBD.

Audit Finds ObamaCare Train Wreck Ahead

Health Care: After months of reassurances that the ObamaCare exchanges would be running by Oct. 1, it turns out they’re well behind schedule. Truth becomes an even rarer commodity in the Obama administration.

‘Yes, we will be ready,” said Gary Cohen, who is spearheading ObamaCare implementation at the Department of Health and Human Services. That was in January.

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has since repeatedly insisted that “we will launch the health insurance exchanges on time.” She was so confident, she said, there was no need for a contingency plan.

But the HHS put up a stone wall whenever Sen. Max Baucus pushed for details on progress made against specific deadlines. “You’ve never given me any data, you just give me concepts,” Baucus complained in April, before issuing his now-famous warning of an ObamaCare “train wreck” come October.

Turns out Baucus was right to be concerned.

Two Government Accountability Office reports released on Wednesday show that the administration and the states are well behind schedule on several fronts, leading the GAO to warn that they might not actually be ready in time.

As the report noted: “Much remains to be accomplished within a relative short period of time.”

Since at least last December, for example, HHS officials have been claiming that the massive federal data hub — needed to determine eligibility for coverage and the amount of premium subsidies in the exchanges — was already in the testing phase. To the untrained ear, that would suggest the hub had been completely built.

But the GAO found that HHS has barely begun testing the hub with the eight federal agencies from which it needs to pull data, and is behind on just getting data-sharing arrangements set up with those agencies.

HHS has also missed its deadlines on setting up the so-called Navigators program to guide customers through the ObamaCare sign-up maze.

And states trying to set up their own exchanges aren’t faring any better. Despite $4 billion in HHS grants, the 17 states undertaking this task on their own are behind schedule on 44% of key pieces of their exchanges that were supposed to be finished in March.

If these bureaucrats can’t even get the exchanges built — despite having 3-1/2 years to do so — why should anyone believe they are qualified to run the entire health care system?

some things to ponder

Heard on radio of the death of singer Slim Whitman. He had a good voice and knew how to express a song, although I have to admit I wasn’t a fan.

What I recall most were those endless and endlessly boring TV ads promoting his albums.  Those LPs were made and marketed for TV of course, so no surprise they were endless. I think that was in the days before the remote/mute.  ?

There are one or two other items that I don’t think will sit well with our membership here.

The morning papers are telling me that Mr. O. on his visit to the Fatherland, has told the Germans that America will be in the forefront in the fight against
GLOBAL WARMING.  I ask you, could I make that up?  That’s what he promises.
I wonder what that’s gonna cost, assuming he keeps the promise.  Although why America has to keep any promise he makes to the govt. in Berlin is beyond me.
Global Warming?  Isn’t it supposed to be climate change, now that the warm part is being bought by fewer ppl?

On the other hand ....  Obama is coming under much criticism from his own people for something I don’t think our readers will mind.
In fact, it may bmews a few of us.  (thanks Drew) What I mean to say is, we’re supposed to be against whatever he is for. Is that not correct?
Well, his own people are trashing him for, and this is quoting a German newspaper,

His supporters are upset that sometimes seems even more ruthless than his predecessor on issues of national security.

Say what?  Where do the Germans get that from?  Or, is there the possibility there may be some truth in it?
Now that is very scary.

Then I saw something, not even an entire article, just a mention under a heading that said, “Will America finally get it round to it?”
The subject was immigration reform and from what little I read, which was only a line or two, apparently the Dems will build on their Latino base.
Well of course they will.  And they ought to considering they suck up to that group without any thought of what it might mean for the future.  What the heck, it’s a future my generation won’t live to see play out.

Speaking of things that play out.

Syria.  As things start to look dark for the rebels and their terrorist allies, more western countries want to give aid to the ‘good rebels’ except we really have no idea of just who those illusory folks might be.
But we know President Assad has received help from ‘bad guys’ in the form of Hezbollah.  Who Israel does not like. But a problem I have heard debated here on panel shows made up of some folks who have traveled to and covered the news in those places have things to say.  Like, at least with Assad there could be some stability once this conflict is over.  His particular muslim tribe does not endorse the strict islamic code of dress on women, girls are not excluded from schools, and the people most worried about his possible fall are the few Christians who remain.  Under Assad, they were not treated badly but who wants to guarantee what another muslim sect would do.

No, Really?

Another branch of the federal government has been lying to us for years? Oh Noes!!!1!
Yeah right. Like anyone bought their BS in the first place, even back then.

Latest Whistleblowers: TWA 800 Conclusion Fake

A group of whistle-blowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago.

However, the six whistle-blowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down.

Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996, en route to Paris when it exploded and crashed off the coast of nearby East Moriches, Long Island, killing everyone on the plane.

“..This team of investigators who actually handled the wreckage and victims’ bodies, prove that the officially proposed fuel-air explosion did not cause the crash,” reads a statement by the producers of the film, which will debut on cable network EPIX next month. “They also provide radar and forensic evidence proving that one or more ordnance explosions outside the aircraft caused the crash.” However, the statement said they did not speculate about the source or sources of any ordnance explosions.

Ordnance explosions? That means a bomb. With shrapnel. Outside the aircraft? That means the bomb was ... a missile.

Just like we saw in that video that some civilian took at the time. Contrail(s) rising. And the feds turned themselves inside out coming up with some Dr. Science Explains It All cock and bull story about how all that was just sunlight reflected off the underside of clouds or something like that.

Kind of like how the FBI wouldn’t admit that even one single instance of “man made disaster”, and there were many, during the entire Bush administration, were in fact acts of terrorism. Oh no. Workplace violence. Yeah, that’s it. Allawoo Snackbar!! Nothing to see here, clean up the blood and move along.

The whistle-blower team, which includes investigators—at the time—from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), TWA, and the Airline Pilots Association, have since retired from their positions. They claim that at the time, they were placed under a gag order by the NTSB, which they charged falsified the official conclusion of the cause of the crash. They indicated they would elaborate more in a Wednesday media briefing.

So here we go again. Time to tighten the chin strap on your tinfoil hat. It’s gonna be a rough ride.

Can somebody call up Hillary for a quote? “At this point, what difference does it make?”

Half a day shot to hell

Don’t know what came over me. Suddenly I was freezing cold this afternoon, running a fever, and exhausted. Naturally it was raining again. I found the last ibuprofens, took them and went to bed and got under a big comforter. And fell asleep. 5 hours later I woke up freezing with a terrible sinus headache. Got an antihistamine in me, and a couple of sprays of that nose stuff the bee advertizes on TV (Nasonex). Back to bed after searching this whole place for more pain pills. Slept some more and woke up drenched in sweat. Wife found the acetaminophen and I took some of those. An hour later and I feel good enough to have something to eat. Sinuses fine, headache gone, fever under control. But damn ... 8 1/2 hours, gone like that.

Beats me. Maybe a huge release of mold spores from the rain. Or maybe I’m getting really sick, and I’ve just self-medicated enough to cover it all. We’ll see tomorrow I guess.

Crossing Over

The one remaining actual Democrat is now a Republican. His party has been hijacked by the commies, and he’s getting out.

Good for him.

Expect the Uncle Tom slurs in ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...

I’ll give him a couple of months, and if he is really true to what he’s saying, he’ll soon be a member of the Tea Party, and not the GOP Old Boys Network with Boehner, McCain, Rove, and that bunch.

words almost fail but not quite

Just a really short post with the idea that a photo might be worth a million words.  Mostly from yours truly here saying how I worry about some USA/EU deal that will get wrote in stone.

Hey just so you know and there may be a few who do not. No reason why you should.

Once upon a time when Britain was a sovereign state and made their own laws and followed their own courts and could deport anyone they wanted who was a threat to the nation, in those long ago and almost forgotten halcyon (well almost) days, the folks here joined something called the common market. Good for business and especially small business given a chance to grow etc, etc. How nice it all looked.  Like Communism. Pretty on paper.

Then one day the common market grew up and started to gobble up the other states lead by a resurgent former enemy whose bank called the shots. Panzers were plowed into Euros and everyone lived happily ever after. So it came to pass that the Brits found themselves members of something called, the European Union.  It even had its own flag. Well I never.

And during the last ten years I’ve been watching this movie play out and guess what?  Brits aren’t happy.  They want their country back.

Sorry Charlie ....

So who’s next?

I think we should be worried folks. Very worried.

Feast your eyeballs on this.  What?  You thought I might have been exaggerating?

Oh btw .....  I did not notice this cover on our conservative paper.  They hardly mentioned it. But apparently this liberal left daily thinks enough of it to place it here.

Any deal cut with the EU will have politically correct strings attached. You can count on that.

another day another dollar. not saved. everybody wantsta get inta theact

Wife reminded me that I need to renew my passport, damn near forgot. What a freeking nightmare if you are over here. What rocket scientists design these pages and the info etc. But okay, with help from embassy site on YT I got some things done.  But not all of it.

It took me a couple of hours, which included a looooong phone wait to ask a simple question at a link they (embassy gave) for the courier service. Who never answered and why should they?  You pay for every minute on hold on a premium line.  Now I can’t even remember wtf the question was.

So I’m printing all these F*****g pages several of which don’t need to be here but there was no way to exclude them as I watch my ink level go down.

And it get worse cos then I have to go to the Brit site for something else that will eventually go in my American passport.  And that will cost and the USA passport will cost too so hell, I’m like raining money. Not now but soon.  I don’t recall paying to renew my USA passport 10 yrs ago.  I guess I did.  But it wasn’t $110.00.

When I get a new visa stamp from the Brits, that’s gonna cost £147. But that’s peanuts because if you do it in person, it will cost £522.00. OUCH!  Glad I don’t have to do that.  But of course we have to keep some things in mind.

And just so you can envision the sums in USA dollars. £147 is $230, and £522 would be $816.

All this stuff is very exclusive.  Yeah.  It’s exclusive to the folks who obey the laws of the country and aren’t on benefits with a weekly paycheck compliments of the working taxpayer.

So, be patient and try and scroll thru this.  It really does get interesting further on down.  These are the questions Brits ask of you when applying for perm. status.
Like, the equiv. I suppose of our green card.
Take a look.

Oh .... and I’m not done yet re. some of the paperwork. This is about as bad as trying to do taxes.

Taxes?  Hmmm. That’s why God gave mankind H&R Block.image

The Chewbacca Defense

image

This makes sense to somebody, somewhere. Not me. Seems like the old Chewbacca defense once again. It don’t make sense, so we must do it!

image

For those who haven’t memorized South Park ...

Cochran :
Why would a Wookiee, an 8-foot-tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of 2-foot-tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this case? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense! Look at me. I’m a lawyer defending a major record company, and I’m talkin’ about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you’re in that jury room deliberatin’ and conjugatin’ the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.

Hone Your Bridge Skills

image

Sure, you’re thinking “Warren pony truss with outriggers”. You’ve shown us a million of them Drew.

And generally, you’d be right.

Except that this one is made of wood, almost completely. The top and bottom chords, the diagonals. All wood. Except for those verticals, which are iron rods. Well, at least some are. Some look like wood. Bit hard to see. And that makes it a Howe truss.

Howe trusses were used for covered bridges, and later on for railroad bridges. In steel it’s a very strong design. In wood, it gets the job done as long as the job isn’t too big. Wood is pretty good under compression, but really weak under tension. So wrought iron was used for the verticals, because it excels under tension.

Actually, the thing is probably classified as a beam girder and pier supported culvert crossing. It’s almost too small to be an actual bridge, and you can see that the underpinnings are about 30 times heftier than the poles used to make the truss. 36” girders with railroad ties over them. So the upper is just for show. It’s a fancy railing.

Wasted bridal party acting totally sleazy? Never even saw ‘em.

LOL

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
