it’s always about race

It’s the way of things nowadays, so it’s not a surprise.

Bru-ha ha over here because an Asian gang, and by Asian specifically men from Pakistan and one from Afghanistan, arrested for the use and abuse of a number of girls, all white, and one it is reported as young as 13. They then shared with other men so you get the picture. The police say it wasn’t about race but about sex.
No folks you know things have come to a pretty miserable pass when a muslim spokesman has to speak for white folks.
He says out loud what everyone except the libtard left has known for awhile.  Authorities are so worried about being branded with the ‘R’ word that certain subjects aren’t being discussed.

An obsession with racism that left vulnerable girls at the mercy of sex predators
By MOHAMMED SHAFIQ

And while you’re at it, take a gander at some of the animals involved. Now some of the girls it can be argued should have known better. Some are claiming they didn’t, til it was too late.  But rape is rape period and getting girls drunk and then abusing them is vile. Even if the girls weren’t white, it’s vile.

READ ALL HE HAS TO SAY ON THE SUBJECT

Oh, and one of the scum has accused the judge and court of being, wanna guess?  Yup. You got it.
He said there was nobody from his racial or religious group and therefore the court was, R_________.

So anyway, all of that brings me to this.

Border staff stop and search white air passengers to ‘even up racial mix’

Report finds white passengers are searched to balance out other ethnicities

By JACK DOYLE

White air passengers are routinely stopped and searched by customs officials simply to ensure the right racial ‘mix’ of travellers are being approached, a report reveals today.

It found staff searching for illegal goods at Gatwick Airport selected white passengers to balance the numbers against black and other ethnic minorities they suspected to help avoid race discrimination complaints.

Details of the practice are exposed in one of two highly critical reports by John Vine, chief inspector of the UK Border Agency, who said it was unlawful and must stop.

The second, criticising Heathrow Terminal 3, raised concerns about queues at the borders and found staff were allowed to clock off at some of the busiest times, resulting in long delays for passengers.

Targets for queuing times for passengers from outside the European Economic Area were breached 62 times between September 18 and 30 last year.

The racial scanning, seemingly widespread at Gatwick, involved pulling out white passengers when officials wanted to question a black passenger.

One official told inspectors he and his colleagues ‘specifically detained a number of white passengers’ from one flight so they could ‘show that white people were also being questioned’.

He said that when they saw arrivals they ‘knew they had a problem’ because the person they wanted to intercept was the only black passenger on the flight.

The inspectors added: ‘The officer also reported that this practice ... is also used for Caribbean flights to reduce the potential for future race claims.’
Mr Vine said the approach was ‘not justifiable’ and that there was ‘no legal basis for detaining people for such purpose’.

At Heathrow Terminal 3, inspectors found two-thirds of passenger searches were ‘neither justified nor proportionate or in line with legislation and agency guidance’.

american martial arts expert banned from uk. see this and read the article. what idiots!

Earlier today I heard an interview on the radio with an American who is at this moment, being barred from entering the country. Really got the ole dander up.
He’s a martial arts guy who was invited to a convention or gathering of some kind. He teaches and lectures on that subject.  Whoa .... but he’s too ruff and violent for the Home Secretary and so he’s not allowed in.  What an insult considering the loons and the outright criminals that slip thru and then stay here on benefits.
But lets not talk about self defense in ways that aren’t couched in cotton fluff I guess. AND, one MP slag of the left had congratulated the Home Sec.

Here’s what the idiot said.

West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper, who had warned Home Secretary Theresa May about the visit, welcomed the move.

She said: ‘I’m grateful to the Home Secretary for taking the appropriate action and not allowing this man into our country.

‘He teaches extreme and violent self defence that is unwelcome here.

and there’s this little bit of total BS.

‘The decision to bar Mr Larkin from the UK demonstrates the value of constant alertness when it comes to border controls.

Oh yeah. They’re really alert okay. Read the papers. Yes, I know papers tend toward the sensationalist.  Does that make em any less true?

You really must see the article, I wish you all could have heard the interview where the left leaning idiot doing the interview kept bringing up the ‘V’ word and trying to interrupt Tim Larkin.
And don’t miss the comments that follow the article here. Most interesting.

Mr. Popular

It is rather getting pushed to the side, but the Democrats are also having a presidential primary. Sure, it’s pretty much a no-brainer, which suits them perfectly, but there are other people running for the nomination. And in some parts of the country, those nominees are doing quite well.

Anybody But Obama

Jailed felon wins 40% of West Virginia Dem Primary

CHARLESTON, West Virginia – Just how unpopular is President Barack Obama in some parts of the country? Enough that a man in prison in Texas is getting 4 out of 10 votes in West Virginia’s Democratic presidential primary.

The inmate, Keith Judd, is serving time at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Texas for making threats at the University of New Mexico in 1999. With 93 percent of precincts reporting, Obama was receiving just under 60 percent of the vote to Judd’s 40 percent.

For some West Virginia Democrats, simply running against Obama is enough to get Judd votes.

“I voted against Obama,” said Ronnie Brown, a 43-year-old electrician from Cross Lanes who called himself a conservative Democrat. “I don’t like him. He didn’t carry the state before and I’m not going to let him carry it again.”

I’m guessing that the folks in W. VA are still a mite bit sore over that whole “clinger” remark back in 2008. Plus the whole “bankrupt the coal industry” thing, which would put half their state out of work.

Voters in other conservative states showed their displeasure with Obama in Democratic primaries last March.

In Oklahoma, anti-abortion protester Randall Terry got 18 percent of the primary vote. A lawyer from Tennessee, John Wolfe, pulled nearly 18,000 votes in the Louisiana primary. In Alabama, 18 percent of Democratic voters chose “uncommitted” in the primary rather than vote for Obama. In Tuesday’s North Carolina primary, 21 percent of Democratic voters marked “no preference.”

Don’t you just love it? 1 in 5 Dem voters in NC went to the polls and voted “present”.

The latest state-by-state Gallup poll, released in January, found Obama with a 32.7 percent approval rating in West Virginia. The president had a lower approval rating only in Utah, Idaho, Oklahoma and Wyoming.

5 states or more where Obama polls at less than a third? Best news I’ve heard all morning. If only it was 30 states ...

I’m sure it’s just because of racism.

the word for today is ………….

It’s almost as though they were reading bmews yesterday when I posted this.

Look at what the culture has now come to. What other words I wonder, will crop up in the future that “might” be offensive

Darn if another didn’t crop up today.  Crop? I get it, the pc crowd is planting this stuff and up it crops like weeds.  Nothing serious mind you but still.

Some of you had some great fun with blacklist yesterday.  This one may be harder. The word for today is.

OBESE

Yup. Totally unexpected.  I thought maybe the ‘F’ word, FAT might be on their list. Then that’d be Fatism I suppose. But no.
Today it’s the ‘O’ word.

Don’t say ‘obese’… you might upset fat people, councils have been warned

Instead, they are people who need to ‘achieve a healthier weight’

By SOPHIE BORLAND

The word ‘obese’ should not be used when encouraging the public to lose weight as it may be ‘derogatory’, councils have been told.

Instead, anyone who is dangerously overweight should merely be urged to try to ‘achieve a healthier weight’, according to guidelines drawn up by the health watchdog NICE.

The guidance tells officials to ‘ carefully consider the type of language’ they use when designing posters and leaflets.

Under a new Government strategy, councils – rather than NHS trusts – have been given the task of combating rising levels of obesity.

Ministers are giving town halls £ 5billion a year to tackle a range of public health issues, which also include binge-drinking, smoking and teenage pregnancies.

Council officials ‘should carefully consider the type of language and media to use to communicate about obesity’.

It says: ‘For example, it might be better to refer to a “healthier weight” rather than “obesity” – and to talk more generally about health and wellbeing or specific community issues.’

It added that certain language might be seen as ‘derogatory’.

Ironically, the advice is contained in a paper entitled

Obesity: Working With Local Communities.

Sorta Better

MIL now home and resting comfortably. Good. Doctors drained more than 10 liters of fluid out of her abdomen. 22lbs and more, and the woman isn’t even close to 5 feet tall. Now she can breath again, and hopefully eat. We will wait and see how long it takes to come back. There is no cure for cirrhosis. Whether the effects are accelerating or not remains to be seen; this latest accumulation took almost a year to amass. Being a stubborn patient doesn’t help either. This is not an easy situation for any of us.

Beef - It’s Why We Win

Quick Roasted Tri Tip

image

I’m sure that my West Coast readers will be shocked to learn that the wonderful slab of beef known as a Tri Tip is generally unknown and unavailable here on the East Coast. I’d come across it online while looking up some recipes for hanger steaks, so I asked my butcher to try and get some. I had to explain what I was talking about. He had never heard of them. We wound up bringing in the head butcher, and I had to point out what part of the cow the meat was from on that big Cuts of Beef diagram that all supermarkets have. “Ah, Ok, lower sirloin. Triangle flank steak. Yeah, I think I can get them, but not until Monday.” I was a little shocked, but hey. Groin of Cow, call it what you want. And on Sunday they had some, so I snapped one up. There were half a dozen of them for sale, all in the 2 - 3 pound range. This cut of meat is complete by itself; you get two of them per cow, one per leg, and they aren’t then sliced down into anything smaller.

I came home with a 2 3/4 pound slab of meat about 11 inches long, 6 inches wide, and nearly 3 inches thick. It’s shaped like a double triangle with a dogleg bend in the middle. The grain turns more than 45 degrees; it’s easy to see that one end is attached to the underside of the cow and the other end runs down the front of the back leg.

This was not inexpensive meat, $8/lb for “certified Angus”, but it was our anniversary, so why not? There was a thin layer of fat on one side, and a small amount of visible marbling in the roast itself. Angus are generally low fat cattle; I’d love to see one of these cuts from a regular non-anorexic cow.

Bring it home, rinse it off, pat dry, give it a moderate amount of dry rub that has just a little bit of salt, wrap it up in plastic wrap and let it sit overnight in the fridge. Bring it out last night, let it warm up for about 2 hours, then quickly sear the outside in a big skillet with some olive oil. Open the interesting and really inexpensive Chilean carmenere and set it aside to breath. Sear the meat for 2 or 3 minutes per side, then into a 425-440 oven on the roasting rack for 25 minutes. Hey, I live in a condo, so we don’t have a grill. I was a little hesitant, because the cooking instructions on the package said to roast it at 425 for an hour. Lie! Lie!! LIE!!! That would have killed it dead and dry and created a $20 chunk of shoe leather.

At 25 minutes it was 131 degrees in the middle of the thickest part, so out it came. Cover it with tinfoil and let it rest 10 minutes on the carving board while I heated some rolls, put a simple salad together, and cleaned up from our sushi appetizer. Anniversary dinner, so I was pulling out all the stops. Pour the wine, which was great and only $12! Cut the slab of meat in two at the bend in the grain, then thinly slice it on the bias across the grain. And it was perfectly done, medium rare and tender and aromatic and simply flowing with juices. I didn’t check the internal temperature after the roast rested, but the heat in the meat usually works its way inward during the resting phase, so it was likely 140°F by that point. Whatever.

And the taste? Superb. Beefy but not overpowering. Tender but not mushy. The essence of the rub came through but didn’t take command. This is right up there with prime rib and hanger steak. Better than sirloin or flank steak. Outstanding. We ate our fill and then some, and we’ve got enough left over for at least two more dinners plus sandwiches. I think we could have fed 6 or 8 folks from this one steak/roast/slab. And I’m beginning to think of steak in Texas terms; that no half inch thick slice of meat is worth it. You need a piece of beef at least an inch and a quarter thick to get the proper steak experience.

I can’t afford to eat one of these tri tips all the time or even very often, and it really is far more meat than two people can eat at one go, but if I’m having company over I’ll be serving tri tip from now on. Wow.

West Coasties, your secret is out. And I can see how it can be made even better on the grill with about an hour of smoking followed by an hour of roasting. After 48 hours of wet marinade. Which would be some kind of beef heaven, with extra juice.  But it isn’t necessary. The meat doesn’t need any of that fancy stuff to be tender and tasty. Black pepper and a little salt, a gentle browning, and a quick trip through the heat. Done. Awesome.

The Food Police will probably insist that 130°F is dangerously raw and that you must cook it to 145°F at least! Phooey. Mine was done just right, and you can’t uncook meat.

I looked tri tip up on Wiki, and it tells me that the Germans call this cut of meat Tafelspitz, and that they cook it by boiling it to death in vegetable broth and serving it with horseradish. OMFG, that’s a sin of the worst order. No wonder they can only beat the French.

when i first saw the hdline i thought it was a joke. silly me.

I happen to glance at a headline online yesterday, without paying a lot of attention to the story that followed. It was something that went by fast and I thought was the start of a joke I had no time for. Believe me folks, right now my hands are very full and so I imagine a few things will escape notice.
However, when the story appeared in the morning paper, I realized I wasn’t looking at a joke.  Unless it was a very bad one.
Look at what the culture has now come to. What other words I wonder, will crop up in the future that “might” be offensive to one or two idiots? By idiots of course I mean those of a politically correct nature, with no other life but that of those on whose behalf they are taking offense.
I’m not sure, but those of you like Christopher who are quite well read in sci-fi might know.  Was there ever anything in science fiction (1984 aside) that had as it’s focus or even as a side story, anything as insane with regard to how words are used. It’s been many years since I read ‘84 and do not recall if that story followed the course we are on today.
You may recall a year or so ago there was a verbal dust up over the use of the word black ball. Which faded as other more bizarre news overwrote that one.
So now here we are with the term blacklist.
Has anyone ever in the history of the entire world, ever actually been seriously or even mildly offended by that word? Liberals don’t count.

Police IT department bans word ‘blacklist’ in case it is deemed racist

Police IT staff have been banned from using the word ‘blacklist’ because it could be considered racist.

The Police Federation has condemned the move as a ‘waste of time’ and ‘an irrelevance’.
The term whitelist - a list of acceptable contacts - has also been banned.
Security services chief Brian Douglas wrote in an email: “Information Board are uncomfortable with the use of the term Whitelist (and I presume Blacklist).
“I am sure we can appreciate the sensitivity around the use of such terminology today so please ensure it is no longer used.”

A spokesman for Scotland Yard said that the change was not one of policy but simply a move to more ‘appropriate’ phrasing.

He said: “This is not a change in policy. It is a change in internal ICT terminology which reflects a more appropriate use of language in a professional, policing environment.”

John Tully, deptuty head of the Met Police Federation, said while racism was very much an issue - a number of allegations have recently been made against Met officers - the latest move was trivial.

He said: “In real terms it’s an irrelevance. We list things and we call these things by a particular name - does it matter if there’s a colour in that name?
“I really do think we have more important and pressing matters to concern oursleves about at the moment, such as the Tom Winsor report into police pay and conditions.

“I represent the rank and file in the Met who won’t be worried by the Met changing the name of a list.

“There are far more important issues at stake in the future of British policing than to waste time concerned with such trivial matters as this.
“I do need to temper that with the background that we are in where there are a number of serious allegations of racism going on.
“But if you look at the bigger picture it’s an irrelevance.”

source

Sure thing. And this move will alleviate the problem. Perhaps blacks who are arrested for criminal behavior won’t shout race when arrested.
On the other hand, hey. It might work.  Just like in the USA.
After the darkies burned down part of LA, every street and hwy in Calif. was named after whatsizname. There’s even a national holiday now where another day without mail and another day when banks close and oh yeah. There are even schools named in his honor. And it worked fine huh?
It calmed the savage beast and appealed to the liberal left and all the white idiots who really yearned to be one of the brothers.
And the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and their minions have all gone away.
So maybe this police dept is on to something. Ya think?
Hey .... how about a national holiday (Brits don’t already have plenty) honoring say, Nelson Mandela?  And another one for Gandhi. And even a worthy muslim just to show how all inclusive this club can get.  Then there’d be so many national holidays honoring so many (minorities only need apply) that nobody would have to go out to work and all would go on the dole.  Except whitey.
Seems like a plan to me.

(probably headed that way anyway)

OBIT …. WW2 POSTER GIRL MARGIE STEWART … AN AMERICAN

The Telegraph is very well known for it’s obituaries, and although the focus is quite naturally on the homeland, they are still international in scope.
They have covered Americans I never heard of, including this lady. I am tardy in posting it for which I am sorry. But better late then not at all.
For one brief speck in time here on the net, her story is told briefly to a generation that is being introduced for the first time.

Margie Stewart an American. RIP

Margie Stewart, who has died aged 92, was the official US Army poster girl during the Second World War, with millions of her pin-up photos distributed to American GIs around the world.

Shortly after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, she “dutifully” accepted the US government’s invitation, posing for the Hollywood portrait photographer George Hurrell, who shot pictures for three posters, each of which bore the legend: “Please get there and back. Be careful what you say or write.”

image

More posters were printed bearing Margie Stewart’s girl-next-door image than those of the Hollywood sirens Ann Sheridan and Betty Grable combined, an estimated 94 million circulating between 1943 and 1945.

The wartime First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt, tried unsuccessfully to get them scrapped on the ground that Stewart’s wholesome image might make soldiers feel homesick. But despite Mrs Roosevelt’s best endeavours, GIs asked for more and wanted to know who the pretty girl was. Nine more posters were ordered showing Margie Stewart, pen in hand, writing letters urging American servicemen to buy war bonds and to save money to buy homes after the war.

In all, a dozen different posters featuring Margie Stewart were produced, each version carrying an encouraging message to servicemen in the US forces overseas.

By the end of 1943 she had become one of the most familiar faces in America, mobbed by soldiers on leave as well as by their wives, who approved of Margie Stewart’s wholesome, unerotic image (unlike those of Hollywood stars such as Betty Grable with her “Million Dollar Legs”; Ann Sheridan, the “Oomph girl”; the cantilevered Jane Russell; and the “peek-a-boo girl” Veronica Lake).

On a visit to London in June 1945, “Uncle Sam’s Poster Girl” — as The Daily Telegraph dubbed her — caused gridlock at Hyde Park Corner, traffic backing up Park Lane and into Oxford Street as crowds tried to catch a glimpse of her. During her stay she became a regular with the bandleader Artie Shaw at Rainbow Corner, the American Red Cross Club near Piccadilly Circus, entertaining US servicemen.

Margery Stewart was born on December 14 1919 at Wabash, Indiana. After a year studying at Indiana University, where she was elected Freshman Princess, she became a photographic model at a department store in Chicago. In 1941 she moved to Los Angeles and modelled at another store on Wilshire Boulevard. When RKO signed her to a contract in 1942, she made 20 films in short order.

Her career began with a series of small parts in Here We Go Again, The Falcon Strikes Back, Gildersleeve’s Bad Day (all 1942), and Bombardier (1943) with Pat O’Brien, Randolph Scott and Eddie Albert. Other film roles included Mexican Spitfire’s Blessed Event (1943), with Lupe Velez; Gildersleeve’s Ghost; the Frank Sinatra musical Step Lively; Road to Victory, with Cary Grant; and Music in Manhattan (all 1944), with Anne Shirley and Dennis Day.

But she never became a star. “My agent in Hollywood once asked an RKO casting director why he wasn’t giving me better parts,” she recalled. “He was honest in his response: ‘Every time I look out she’s talking to a grip, an electrician or a group of extras. That doesn’t look like a star to me.’ The truth was I never wanted to be a star. I still wanted to be me.”

When her contract with RKO was cancelled, Margie Stewart embarked on a European tour in June 1945, entertaining US troops in England, France, Belgium and Germany.

In later life Margie Stewart worked in the music industry and produced shows at the Hollywood Bowl featuring The Beatles, Barbra Streisand and The Beach Boys.

Margie Stewart married, in July 1945, Jerry Johnson, with whom she had a son.

we were shackling ourselves to a corpse.

Something tells me the news is going to be a bit more interesting in the coming months.

Here’s Daniel Hannan’s take on things and I believe he is correct.

We thought we were joining a growing and prosperous market all those years ago when we signed up to Europe. In fact, we were shackling ourselves to a corpse.

I’m never certain how much interest there is among our readers in the happenings on this side of the world. But as Drew pointed out recently, it’s a global world economy and so yeah, France counts.

Britain is shackled to the corpse of Europe

By Daniel Hannan

Europe’s economic problems are about to get a whole lot worse. For the past three years, governments have tried, however ineffectually, to tackle the debt crisis. Now, though, in country after country, voters are demanding precisely the high-tax and high-spend policies which caused the recession in the first place.

Yesterday’s elections in France and Greece were the first of what will surely be many advances by the populist Left. In both places, candidates were elbowing each other aside during the campaign to demand more intervention and an end to cuts.

The new French President is an unapologetic Socialist of the kind we haven’t known in this country since Michael Foot. François Hollande wants wealth taxes, stimulus spending and a massive expansion of the state payroll.

He understands that this might lead to dismay in the international markets, but he has an answer to that: he will create a French credit ratings agency which, unlike the American ones, will tell him what he wants to hear.

Hollande summarises his programme as ‘growth, not austerity’. Gosh. Who knew it was so easy? Why has no one thought of that before?

The truth, of course, is that France has already pushed tax-and-spend to its limits. The government accounts for an extraordinary 56 per cent of the economy, and the French budget was last in balance in 1974. If state expenditure really had a stimulus effect, France would be the wealthiest country in Europe.

Yet every one of the ten presidential candidates there demanded even greater state intervention. Nicolas Sarkozy promised to make France ‘stronger than the markets’. Three of the other contenders were Trotskyists and one was a Green.

The National Front’s Marine Le Pen, while retaining her father’s anti-immigration platform, offered an economic programme well to the Left of Sarko’s and Hollande’s.

Not a single candidate argued for smaller government, freer competition or greater international trade. All ten offered more of the medicine that had sickened the patient.

We thought we were joining a growing and prosperous market all those years ago when we signed up to Europe. In fact, we were shackling ourselves to a corpse.

sarkozy, waterloo and the new first mistress of france

Saw this first thing morning paper, thought it should follow my previous posting of French election.
It makes for some interesting reading. I knew he had his critics, which I simply passed off as just more left wing ranting. However, the wife is better read then I am on things French, (she’s a Brit btw) and has been following things there. From time to time she mentions things in passing about the former president, which of course I took in but didn’t really mull over.  I figured, what’s the big deal? His wife is wealthy and so is he I assumed. Just jealous lefties being what they usually are. So bad me for not doing more to learn.  To be honest, I was just interested in those things that caught my immediate attention. Like the immigrants coming thru France to the UK from all over the world it so seemed.  And the French problem with muzzy and gypsy scum. So in the end I was pretty much superficial in news of things French.

Then I read the following article.

Vulgar, rude and egotistical, President Bling-Bling has met his Waterloo

By IAN BIRRELL

So the French have got their wish: they have evicted the brash, egotistical and hyperactive President Bling-Bling from the Elysee Palace after just one term, along with his disliked Italian supermodel spouse.

Few will mourn the departure of a man who promised so much but delivered so little with his strutting cockiness and super-rich friends.

Nicolas Sarkozy made the right moves politically on the road to the presidency. But then came so many wrong moves in office, starting on the night of his election triumph when he celebrated with rich supporters at one of Paris’s most expensive restaurants before jetting off to continue partying on the big yacht of a billionaire businessman.

This set the tone for his tenure. He gave himself a 140 per cent pay rise, taking his annual salary above £300,000, then used state funds for late payment fines on his utility bills and £660 a day on fresh flowers. He reduced taxes on the rich, which backfired when financial meltdown struck a year into his term.

He spent £240million kitting out a new presidential plane, complete with £1million soundproofed doors on a luxurious double bedroom and £60,000 bread ovens to ensure fresh-baked baguettes. Then he became embroiled in a series of financial scandals, including claims he took illegal donations from the elderly heiress to the L’Oreal fortune.

Together with his third wife, model turned pop star Carla Bruni, the couple became fixtures in the celebrity magazines to the distaste of conservative supporters. Their baby was the first born to a sitting president.

Then there were pictures of the president checking his Blackberry during an audience with the Pope, which infuriated Roman Catholics, or the notorious occasion he swore at someone who disagreed with him at an agricultural fair.

‘His behaviour is vulgar, I’m afraid,’ said former defence minister Alain Richard.

‘He has lost millions of older and conservative voters with his bad manners. They just do not think it is presidential behaviour.’

During the campaign Mr Sarkozy apologised for his actions. But there was derision when his wife, who earned nearly £5million a year at the height of her modelling career, insisted they were modest folk who just liked watching soap operas.

The campaign culminated with another controversial meal when Mr Sarkozy joined 50 guests at a fund-raising lunch of quails’ eggs and blue lobster in Paris’s most expensive hotel. Afterwards, he was caught on camera slipping off his £50,000 gold watch, a present from his wife.

He was always something of an outsider in France – not least because he drinks Diet Coke rather than fine wines, prefers sweets to smelly cheeses and likes fat Havana cigars.

Now he must retire to lick his wounds. His own house went to pay alimony on his two previous marriages, so the couple are expected to move to Carla’s mansion by the Bois de Boulogne (although there is also her huge summer house on the Riviera).

So farewell to Nicolas Sarkozy, who was often described as a would-be Napoleon but failed to live up to such grandiose claims. He set out to transform his nation but, dazed by celebrity and dazzled by money, ended up alienating his people so much that yesterday he met his inevitable Waterloo.

So for now it looks like we will have a more socialist state in France, Heaven help them. The new guy is a tax and spend liberal so there isn’t anything to add here on that subject.  Here’s what is interesting at this particular moment. His partner.

The new first mistress?  And don’t pay her looks compliments because that would be taken as ....  SEXXXXXXXXIST!
Oh boy. The French are in for a ride.

there’s deep hate, and then there’s my kinda hate. and I can’t say it all here.

I seriously hope some American patriot (won’t hold my breath) tracks down and puts a world of hurt on this filthy slag.

image

I hope she gets a cancer so painful that no drug will relieve it and that she won’t be able to die.

And if you think that’s HATE .... you’ve no idea of what I am not saying here. There’s so much more I could add.
Stupid suck up rotten bitch.

And why do we have to be so kind and thoughtful towards these lice in human form.
They’re causing a bit of a problem we read. They don’t want to co-operate.  Uh huh.  How about a little gasoline on the beard and a match, Whoosh.
But just burn enough to cause extreme pain with the promise of worse on other parts.  Betcha they’d behave after a simple demonstration.
One of the lawyers says they’re concerned about a fair trial.
Right. Like the fairness and compassion shown to the victims of 9/11.

American female defense lawyer covers up in traditional Islamic dress at 9/11 Guantanamo trial ‘out of respect’ for her client’s religious beliefs

Cheryl Bormann, 52, insisted other women in court also dress ‘appropriately’

Five men charged with the 9/11 attacks appearing in public for first time in 3 years for military tribunal
Mohammed repeatedly refused to answer judge’s questions
Co-defendants delayed arraignment by kneeling in prayer, removing their headphones and reading a magazine
Prisoner Walid bin Attash put in restraint chair for unknown reasons

By Daily Mail Reporter

A female defense attorney, who is not Muslim, wore the traditional Islamic hijab to the military court staging the trial of five Guantanamo Bay prisoners accused of the September 11 attacks yesterday.

Cheryl Bormann, 52, who represents Walid bin Attash, said that her client had demanded she wear the clothing and insisted that other women at the hearing also wear ‘appropriate’ clothes out of respect for his religion.

Today she explained her decision at Guantanamo Bay, saying she always wears the hijab around her client.

She asked that other women follow her example so that the defendants do not have to avert their eyes ‘for fear of committing a sin under their faith’, according to Fox News.

The lawyer’s decision was one of the less controversial moments during Saturday’s hearing where at times the accused openly defied the court.

Proceedings were further delayed as one of the defendants, Waleed bin Attash, appeared while being restrained in his chair.

The restraints were later removed after defense counsel had given assurances that he would ‘behave’.

Another defendant, Ramzi Binalshibh, stood up, then knelt on the courtroom floor and prayed for several minutes as a row of guards in camouflage uniforms kept a close watch.

Mohammed and his co-defendants could all face the death penalty.

‘It’s actually a joke, it feels ridiculous,’ said Jim Riches, whose firefighter son, Jimmy, died at the World Trade Center.

Mr Riches watched the hearing from a movie theater at Fort Hamilton in New York City, one of four U.S. military bases where the arraignment was broadcast live for victims’ family members, survivors and emergency personnel who responded to the attacks.

‘It’s been a mess for 11 years,’ Riches said as he stood in the rain during a break in the proceedings and described the atmosphere inside.

Riches, himself a retired firefighter who worked digging up remains in the days after September 11, said he carried with him dark memories of the days after the attacks, and he hoped that if convicted the five men would be executed.

‘I saw what they did to our loved ones - crushed them to pieces,’ he said.

A CLOSE ELECTION IN FRANCE BUT CLOSE DOESN’T WIN. SARKO OUT, SOCIALIST IN.

Close doesn’t count and I’m left wondering what will happen now. The man who won does not have a happy track record with regard to economics. That aside, he is supposed to be very left, he is a socialist or so I’ve read.
I’m haven’t paid enough attention to things happening across the channel to understand why so many could have voted this way.
Things may get very interesting.
The new guy wants to sock it to the very wealthy with a 75% tax. Can anyone else see an exodus coming?

The uncharismatic Mr Hollande, who has never held any ministerial office and is the first socialist to win the French presidency since Francois Mitterrand in 1988,

Au revoir, austerity! New Euro crisis as French vote for return to ruinous spending

President Nicolas Sarkozy ousted by socialist candidate Francois Hollande
Meanwhile in Greece, voters reject policies of tough financial discipline
Analysts warns results could tip single currency into collapse within months

By Peter Allen, Tim Shipman and Rob Davies

Europe was plunged into fresh economic chaos last night as France rejected austerity and elected a tax-and-spend socialist president.

Nicolas Sarkozy suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Francois Hollande, who ran on a platform of tearing up last December’s controversial deal to save the euro from oblivion.

The inexperienced Mr Hollande is now seeking talks with the European Central Bank and German Chancellor Angela Merkel to demand further borrowing to boost growth.

The menace to the single currency was compounded when voters in near-bankrupt Greece also rejected plans to impose tough financial discipline.

The far Right looked set to grab its first seats, saying: ‘The day of national revolution has begun against those who are selling us out and looting the sweat of the Greek people.’

City analysts said that while stock markets had expected a Hollande win, the results in Paris and Athens could tip the strained eurozone back into turmoil.

Mr Hollande claimed that many voters in Europe would greet his election with relief.

‘Europe is watching us, austerity can no longer be the only option,’ he said.

Struggling to contain his emotions, Mr Sarkozy said: ‘I did my best to protect the French people during the events of the past five years, so that France could come out stronger from this crisis.’

He finished: ‘You are the eternal France, I love you.’

He is the 11th European leader to be swept from office since the start of the economic crisis in 2008.

On a day of high drama:

Mr Hollande defeated Mr Sarkozy by 52 per cent to 48 in only the second time a sitting French President has failed to win a second term;
Greece’s conservative New Democracy and socialist PASOK parties risked falling short of the 151-seat majority needed to form a coalition government;
Financial experts warned that the Euro could collapse within months;
British officials admitted that David Cameron made a serious error by ostentatiously backing Mr Sarkozy’s re-election bid.

The uncharismatic Mr Hollande, who has never held any ministerial office and is the first socialist to win the French presidency since Francois Mitterrand in 1988, has been an outspoken advocate of rewriting the plans to save the single currency.

He wants a new ‘preamble’ written into the new European fiscal pact signed by 25 EU nations to water down calls for austerity measures.

He is demanding a change to strict rules which dictate how much member states can spend, without which most observers believe a new European economic crisis is inevitable.

After his victory he said that one of his priorities was to ‘preserve our social model’ – a reference to France’s generous welfare state.

The new president has pledged to spend an extra 20billion euros in the years ahead to kickstart the economy and wants to slap a 75 per cent tax rate on those earning more than one million euros a year, or around £850,000.

VERMIN AT LARGE, THE USUAL BURDEN

Sometimes I get to thinking, if those bastard slave traders never got into the business or at the least, never brought these vermin to our shores,
would Jazz have been discovered anyway?  If not, how much would our lives been diminished?  Hard to think of a world that would never have seen and heard Teddy Wilson or Lionel Hampton or King Oliver or Red Allen or Chick Webb and Ella and the list just goes on. Then there’s the Nicholas Bros. too.  I don’t hate those guys.  And they survived in a world that did not always treat them well. Or is it only their talent I admired and never saw past that?
No, there’s something rotten in today’s world that has made it easy for the scum in this article.  And there’s more of em then ever before.  They are the very direct result of the hand wringing lefty idea of equality, diversity and civil and human rights and to be critical of these monsters to the point of anger where you think the ‘N’ word, then you’re a bigot and a racist and a hateful person.

When I was growing up in Hartford, CT. we were aware of one part of town to avoid. Folks who lived there had a reputation for carrying not just knives but razors. Which at the time seemed to be their weapon of choice.  But overall, unless you were looking for trouble, we never saw the kind of violence seen today on both sides of the Atlantic.  Of course, our laws then imposed penalties which were seen eventually as unfair, discriminatory and racist.  Even when they weren’t.

You could not spit at a cop or call him a pig. Cos there was a penalty not worth the name call or the spit. There was no aclu or any other left wing commie rights group whose only purpose was not to get justice but to screw up what was working fairly well at the time.  Jewish kids had it drummed into their heads that what they did reflected on not just the family but the entire race. And that last was less forgivable after WW2 then the former. I believe black kids had the same thing preached to them.  Don’t give those haters out there an easy excuse to say things like, well what else can you expect from a kike or a nigger. Show em you’re better by deed.

Now that doesn’t mean we still didn’t do things that were wrong. Sure we did. We all did stupid things but overall, we knew the limits. Most of the time.
And one thing we knew for damn certain.  Crime doesn’t pay. We knew that mostly because we were told that every week on a program (radio) called The FBI, in Peace and War. And Gangbusters.  And we knew it was true cos lots of other programs said it as well and it was all reinforced by the family.
We had the idea embedded that there were penalties, often harsh ones.

Well, between that old world and the newer, more edgy and modern one we have today, some things were lost. Or else just stolen by the various rights groups.
There were always gangs, even worse then today if you read the book the movie was based on. Gangs of New York.  Ah but, when it came time to finally put an end to them, authorities weren’t squeamish and there were no civil rights attorneys there to make the very worst appear to be the better cause. And not always because they believe their own arguments but because it’s a game and winning the game counts for more then justice.
For example, there’s a lawyer here who is very successful and his nickname is Mr Loophole. Cause he somehow manages to always find one.

And speaking of verminous lower then pond scum life forms who should if there were any real justice, be taken out and disposed of, take a look at this one.
Or more accurately, at the group presented.  They don’t even manage to look human. This is diversity and multi culture and lets treat em like they’re only kids and after all really just one of us.  Uh huh. As it happens they aren’t any of those things and sadly there’s so many of this type, is it any wonder there are people who have been turned in their thinking and feel hate for the individual and mistrust of the group they belong to.

Lets see if any of you can find the “humanity” in any of these gremlins.  Btw ... see the female at the right in the photo below? Yeah her. She was seen kicking the victim in the head as he was on the ground. Caught on camera but denied it. I guess she figures they all look alike and so how’s anyone gonna know for sure it was her. Read the link below.

The Samurai Tube killers: Gang of teenagers who punched, kicked and stabbed boy of 15 to death in feud between schools are jailed

Promising footballer was stabbed nine times after pupils from two rival schools clashed at London’s Victoria station

By REBECCA CAMBER and REBECCA EVANS

A teenage gang who hacked a boy of 15 to death in front of horrified commuters received sentences totalling more than 100 years yesterday.

Sofyen Belamouadden was punched, kicked and stabbed in a murder planned on Facebook following a feud between his school and a sixth-form college.

A pack of up to 20 students aged between 15 and 18 went to Victoria underground station in London armed with a set of kitchen knives bought for £3.99 from Argos, a Samurai sword, flick knives, metal bars and extendable batons which were used to batter the GCSE pupil with ‘indescribable aggression’.

image

Samson Odegbune held the 12in sword above his head as he, Christopher Omoregie and Obi Nwokeh led the chase of the victim in the ticket hall during the early-evening rush hour.

Sofyen, a promising footballer, was stabbed nine times in the lungs and chest in a 12-second attack.

Judge Christopher Moss QC ordered the three to be detained at Her Majesty’s Pleasure – the juvenile equivalent of a life sentence owing to their ages at the time of the killing.

He added: ‘None of you has shown any kind of remorse. Nor do you in any way acknowledge responsibility for the killing.’ A further three teenagers, Adonis Akra, 18, Samuel Roberts, 19, and Femi Oderinwale, 18, were convicted of manslaughter and given 12 years detention each.It acted as the ‘direct catalyst’ for the pre-arranged meeting which led to Sofyen’s death.
image
Tyrone Richards, 17, and Enoch Amoah, 19, were found guilty of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and were each sentenced to seven years in a young offenders institution.

Four youths were earlier sentenced to two years detention after admitting violent disorder. Victoria Osoteku, 19, the only girl in the gang, will be sentenced next week after being found guilty of manslaughter.

‘So brazen and confident were his killers, they openly carried the various weapons they used with them as they ran towards him and hunted him down.’

The catalyst for the attack was a fight over a girl a day earlier in the station, which left one youth with a bloody nose. That night the Ladbroke Grove pupils plotted their revenge on Facebook, with Oderinwale, then 16, acting as an ‘armourer’.

He asked online contacts for a ‘flick-up ting’ and told an older friend to ‘buy some nanks from Argos’, referring to a box of kitchen knives.

He told his friends there was a ‘beef’ with other youths in west London and someone could get ‘slumped’ (stabbed).

Odegbune, then 16, led the running charge with the Samurai sword, shouting: ‘I’m going to **** you up’ as he ran into the station.

Roberts, 17, booted the victim’s head three times as if he ‘were kicking a rugby football’.

Following the attack, 12 of the 20 youths boarded a bus and one was overheard saying: ‘Didn’t you see me run in to the station and shank him?’ Police officers stopped the bus and found a selection of knives as well as blade-sharpening steels which were covered in the victim’s blood.

FULL AND COMPLETE STORY

I’ve been thinking while reviewing this and seeing the photos here and the one in my last post.
Yeah, I guess I wouldn’t miss what I never knew and so have come to the conclusion that yes. Much as I love Jazz (early), I’d have gotten along just fine were it never invented.

VERMIN AT LARGE IN THE UK, PART ONE

Didn’t think I would be on line today but booted to check things.

I wasn’t going to post the story or pix thinking you folks could see the same thing in any country you’re from while visiting us at bmews.
I haven’t a clue about the laws or systems of justice in other countries.  But justice seems to be sorely lacking in some western countries and especially here in the UK and perhaps the USA as well.

I’ve been here a number of years which doesn’t qualify me as expert in any way. But heck, I read the papers and listen to the radio, and have no TV by choice.
And what I see and hear makes me despair.
How is it that growing up in a very innocent age, by comparison to today, I still managed to work out right from wrong?  I didn’t need anyone to tell me. I knew. We all did.  Which ain’t sayin’ we always did right when sometimes wrong was fun or just something we knew we could get away with.
But I promise you we never even thought of doing the things I read about today.  Rape? Stabbing ppl?  Sure, it happened even then. But never on this scale.
And of course in those days there was the death penalty.  Emphasis on that last word.  Doesn’t seem to be much of that anymore.

A few weeks ago I saw two stories crime related, never posted cos it was the same old same old. But what did stand out was that in two separate cases the accused when being sent off to prison, shouted out in court, haha. Easy. I can do that.
Another said, “I can do that standing on my head.” Or words similar.  They just don’t care and they know they’ll get out sooner rather then later.

One prisoner with a violent background even took the prison to court AND WON the right to be called Mister by the prison guards.

And here’s this group of sub human life forms who if you read it all will discover that for them, they were merely doin’ what comes naturally.

And speaking of what comes naturally, take a good look at this animal.
He looks like he grunts, ape like, instead of speaking as humans do. And he’s only one of that group.
Sickening.

Six months for boy who raped girl of 11 sparks outrage over 16-year-old thug’s soft sentence for attack in McDonald’s toilet

* Series of attacks took place on three separate dates
* Involved up to eight members of the same street gang
* Only two were convicted, but investigations continue
* Ringleader, then aged 13, was jailed for five years
* Judge said attack had ‘far reaching effects’ on victim
* Thugs beat her up to make sure she kept quiet

By KATHERINE FAULKNER

A teenage gang member who raped a girl of 11 in a McDonald’s toilet will serve only six months behind bars after an astonishing ruling by a judge yesterday.
image

The 16-year-old was one of several thugs who preyed on the ‘vulnerable and lonely’ victim over a number of months.

They subjected the girl to a series of horrific rapes before trying to intimidate her into staying silent.

But incredibly, he was locked up for just one year yesterday after the judge said the victim’s unwillingness to have sex ‘may not have been obvious’ to him and he deserved ‘very great credit’ for pleading guilty.

The teenager – who cannot be named – is likely to serve only six months in a young offenders’ institution.

Last night the sentence was condemned by victims’ groups, who said it trivialised the rape of a child. In law, a girl of 11 is deemed incapable of consenting to sex in any circumstances.

Jo Wood, a spokesman for Rape Crisis, said: ‘Victims will be appalled by this kind of sentence. That victim will undoubtedly serve a life sentence after what has happened to her.

‘It will have taken considerable courage for her to come forward. I am very concerned that this sentence does not reflect the seriousness of the crime at all.

‘Courts will need to seriously consider the message that sentences such as these send out.’

Stephen Timms, the Labour MP for East Ham, said: ‘These attacks were horrendous, repeated and committed by young men who seemed to have little remorse for the trauma they have inflicted on this girl. I am shocked, especially given the gang dimension to this case, that their sentences are so short.’

Conservative MP Philip Davies said: ‘For a court to hand down such a derisory sentence for one of the most serious crimes seems to me to be totally unacceptable.’

Mr Davies said such sentences had ‘left the public with no confidence in the criminal justice system’. He added: ‘It certainly won’t act as a deterrent, or encourage victims of rape to come forward.

‘Given how serious the problems with gang culture are in this country, I think it is very weak indeed.’

The victim, who is now 13, stared at the floor in court yesterday as Ibraheem Giwa, 15, and his 16-year-old co-defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were sentenced to five years and one year respectively.

Both had been members of the Say No More gang from the Custom House area of Newham, East London – an area blighted by violent turf wars.

Ibraheem ‘Ibby’ Giwa – described as the ringleader – was just 13 when he carried out the first attack on the girl in September 2009, Inner London Crown Court heard.

He dragged the girl, who had just started secondary school, into the bushes at a park, and raped her while another boy watched. He then invited her to his house, where she asked him: ‘If I do it, are you going to leave me alone?’

Giwa then raped her again, before inviting a queue of up to eight other gang members to do the same.

The victim wept throughout the attacks and asked the boys to ‘stop it’, but they simply told her to stop crying because it ‘made it look like they’d done something’ to her.

She later told police: ‘They didn’t ask me if I wanted it or not.’

Six months later, in March 2010, she was attacked in the toilet of a McDonald’s restaurant in East Ham, East London, by the gang member, then 14, who had heard about the previous rapes.

He followed her into the toilet and raped her while his friends waited outside the door. After the attacks, members of the gang bombarded the victim with texts and phone calls warning her not to tell anyone about what had happened.

On two occasions, she was beaten up as a warning not to report the crimes. When she finally did go to the police, officers seized the defendants’ computers and found that Giwa had discussed the rape with others on Facebook.

In one conversation, Giwa had written: ‘I think the girl we rapped (sic) went to police.’

A 15-year-old, who cannot been named and who was later cleared, wrote: ‘What girl?’ Giwa replied: ‘The girl we bang at my house.’

Passing sentence, Judge Patricia Lees said the rapes had been ‘selfish and debased’ attacks on a vulnerable and lonely child who had been left genuinely frightened of gang reprisals.
