Disturbing footage showing a woman being flogged repeatedly. And many of this ilk, are here.

I am lost for words and won’t try.
The video at the link is sickening.  Yeah. Lets give more foreign aid to these wankers so they can buy more nice and new well pressed uniforms. They aren’t even on the level of development that your pet is. Even if your pet is a goldfish.

Screaming woman publicly flogged by laughing policemen in shocking video from Sudan

By Daily Mail Reporter

Disturbing footage showing a woman being flogged repeatedly by a laughing policemen has sparked outrage after it was posted on the internet.

The YouTube video from Sudan shows an unidentified woman in a long black dress and headscarf being ordered to sit down before a uniformed police officer starts whipping her.

Howling in pain she screams ‘Enough, enough’ and ‘I want my mum’.

A second officer - who laughs when he realises he is being filmed - later joins in with the cruel punishment.

The woman’s alleged crime is not known but there are suggestions circulating on the web that it could be for wearing trousers.

Despite being surrounded by police officers and dozens of bystanders, no-one intervenes and the violence lasts a minute and a half.

During her ordeal one of the policeman can be heard telling the woman she will be jailed for two years if she does not accept the 53 lashings.

The woman cries out repeatedly for her mother and even tries to grab one of the whips to stop the persistent beating.

Flogging is fairly common in northern Sudan but the violence in this particular video has sparked outrage and Sudan’s judiciary has now launched an investigation into the incident.

The video led to 50 women sitting down outside the justice ministry in Sudan today in protest at laws which they say humiliate women. Dozens were arrested. The women held banners before being surrounded by riot police telling them to move.
In 2009 Lubna Hussein, a Sudanese journalist, was sentenced to 40 lashes for appearing in public wearing trousers. Under a storm of international criticism, she was released with a fine

Three plain-clothed security men threw the BBC correspondent to the ground, confiscating his equipment.

All the women were arrested and taken to a nearby police station. Their lawyers were prevented from entering, but senior opposition politicians were allowed to go inside.

Britain is being Islamiscised, the establishment appears paralysed like a deer caught in headlights.

I am hoping perhaps naively that when you have read this, you’ll share it with others.  I’m not copying it here as proof that the sky is falling or to say look how bad things have gotten here. I’m posting most of today’s column by Melanie Phillips as a another warning to America.  Maybe back home there are more safeguards in place against the islamification of the USA.  There may be. I hope so.

I have been reading this lady for some time now. I hear her on radio most Wednesday nights. She has a great voice for the medium, you might say made for it.
She knows what she’s talking about, is nobody’s fool and has a solid understanding of her subjects whether religion (and she is quite religious without being evangelical) she is very conservative with a capital ‘C’ but not a loony tune one.  I wish she were an American so she could run for high office. She’s brilliant, she really is. Now the question is ... will anyone sit up and pay attention.  Well, we can hope but the prognoses isn’t a great one.  Maybe it’s only me that gets a bit discouraged seeing the state of things and thinking the folks that actually are supposed to be in charge, are fast asleep.

The other day, a would be suicide bomber injured a couple of people and killed himself, when one of his several explosives malfunctioned and went boom.
His car, in which he was driving and looking for a crowded place full of Christmas shoppers, caught fire.  He got out of his car and ran but couldn’t get too far and pulled the plug on himself.  Authorities say he wasn’t working alone, someone else planned his mission.
He was so over the top that even a mosque here in the UK booted him out for being, “Too Extreme.” Can you believe that?  But it’s true.

To look at the creep when he was a bit younger, you would not in a lifetime think he was a muslim or for that matter, even of middle east origin or anywhere else in that region.  But he was it’s suggested, radicalized in the UK, in the town of Luton, a hotbed of muzzie activity.
His parents issued a statement claiming the fault in him becoming a radical and a bomber at the end, is the fault of ....
ENGLAND!
Well of course it is.  It was England that allowed his parents here and gave them the opportunity to prosper. And they apparently did.  It was England that allowed him a good education and exposure to a free culture, jaded perhaps and not without fault heaven knows, but a culture that encourages fair play and the rule of law. Which granted doesn’t always work out too well. But he wasn’t held back due to race or religion and went on to higher studies and yet still managed to become radicalized.  So it’s England’s fault.

I know I shouldn’t make comments as it isn’t my country but ... damn I am sick to tears of the traitors and the mealy mouthed apologists hiding behind human rights etc.  I’ve gone on too long. Blame it on extreme frustration with this subject.
Here ... please read this and share it.  Don’t think America is too big a target for these rotten, filthy, creepy, unwashed bastards. They slither and crawl and smile but I’d sooner trust a rat to the human form of one.

How I was reviled for warning that Britain is a hotbed of Islamic terrorism
By Melanie Phillips

Some four-and-a-half years ago, a book of mine was published that caused something of a sensation.

image

It was called Londonistan, and it was about the way in which - astoundingly - Britain had become the most important centre, outside the Islamic world itself, for the production and export of Islamic terrorism.
Worse yet, I wrote, even after the 9/11 attacks and the 7/7 London Tube and bus bombings, the British political, legal and security establishments were still refusing to get to grips with the threat posed to Britain by militant Muslims who wanted to conquer it for Islam.

For my pains, I was called ‘mad’ by the Guardian, ‘bonkers’, ‘alarmist’, ‘hysterical’ and, of course, ‘Islamophobic’.
Indeed, I had a hard time getting the book published at all. It was turned down by every mainstream London publisher because they regarded my views as dangerous extremism. One even remarked: ‘I’d rather take the poison ricin than publish this.’ Nice!

For a while it looked as if it would be published only in the U.S. - but a few weeks before publication in America, a tiny British publishing house bravely volunteered to publish it here.
Given the terrifying nature of what I wrote in that book, it really does give me no comfort to say this - but the fact is that, ever since it was published, a steady stream of revelations has proved that I was absolutely right.

This week, we learned that Taimour Abdulwahab Al-Abdaly, who blew himself up in a terrorist attack in Stockholm, was yet another radicalised British Muslim university graduate. He was but the latest in an unremitting procession of British Muslims who have committed terrorist attacks in other countries. And many have been educated to a high level in Britain.

Over the past decade, around 30 Muslim graduates or students at British universities have been involved in Islamic-inspired terrorism, including former University College London student Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who has been charged with trying to blow up a U.S. airliner with explosives hidden in his underpants.

As for Luton - where Abdulwahab lived and attended university - this has long been regarded as a hot-bed of Islamic extremism.
So why is it that, with the Security Service periodically issuing chilling warnings that it’s monitoring more than 2,000 dangerous Muslim fanatics and dozens of terrorist plots, Britain is still failing so dismally to curb its home-grown industry of Islamic terrorism and extremism?

As I pointed out in my book, most of the British establishment is in denial about what it is up against. Our leaders know there is a major threat of terrorism.
But they remain wilfully blind to the fact that the terrorists’ ultimate aim, the Islamisation of Britain and the West, is being pursued by Islamic groups that are not violent, as well as those that are.

The establishment is so heavily imbued by a deadly cocktail of political correctness, multiculturalism and ‘human rights’ law that, far from curbing Islamic extremism, it has actually fanned the flames.
Over the past decade and more, the judges have made it all but impossible to police Britain’s borders against undesirables or throw extremists out of the country.

Universities have shamefully refused to crack down on extremists on campus, even though countless Muslim students are being radicalised there by Islamist speakers - with no fewer than four university Islamic Society presidents having been involved in major acts of terrorism.

Idiotically, politicians cravenly attempting to defuse Islamic rage by appeasing the Muslim community have funded organisations that have turned out to be extreme.

Even more extraordinarily, to this day the Government is employing radical Islamists in Whitehall - as political advisers on curbing Islamic extremism.
The core reason for this supine approach is that the establishment refuses to acknowledge that Islamic terrorism is rooted in religious fanaticism - an extreme interpretation of the religion that dictates Muslims must impose Islamic law throughout the world.

The threat of violence makes it more likely they will succeed in infiltrating British institutions. And that in turn makes it ever harder to curb radicalisation. It also galvanises the extremists, who perceive correctly that the society they have in their sights has no stomach for the fight.

This is precisely what is happening in Britain. Because our political and security establishment has defined extremism as involving violence, it is blind to the steady process of Islamisation that is taking place.

Astonishingly, it is tolerating - and even encouraging - the relentless incursion of Islamic religious law. Yet this is inimical to British values.

Four years ago in my book, I delivered a warning. A country that can’t even bring itself to name the nature of the enemy it faces will be defeated by that enemy.

The Stockholm bomber is but the latest export from Londonistan - and unless the Government gets up off its knees and changes its disastrous strategy, I very much fear he will not be the last.

In Again, Out Again

Here again, gone?

UK gives bail to Julian Assange, the Wikileaks creep.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was granted bail Tuesday after a hearing at Westminster Magistrate’s Court in London.

The 39-year-old Australian handed himself over to London police last week to answer a European arrest warrant over alleged sex crimes in Sweden.

Assange is facing accusations of rape, sexual molestation and illegal use of force in separate incidents in August in Stockholm. He could be sentenced to two years in prison if convicted. His lawyers deny the allegations and have vowed to fight any attempts at extradition.

The magistrate agreed to grant bail Tuesday after Assange’s team of attorneys reported that Vaughan Smith, a former British army officer who founded London’s Frontline Club, had offered his mansion in Suffolk to Assange.

Smith will keep Assange “if not under house arrest, at least under mansion arrest,” said defense attorney Geoffrey Robinson. At that, Assange, dressed in a white shirt and a blue jacket and sitting in a glassed-in corner of the court with three security guards, smiled wryly.

The magistrate set bail at 200,000 pounds (about $315,000) plus two sureties of 20,000 pounds each (about $31,500). Assange’s passport must remain with police, and he will be monitored by a location tag.

The first headline to emerge from Julian Assange’s bail hearing at Westminster Magistrates Court was that the judge would allow journalists to tweet from inside the courtroom.  As long as they were quiet.

The running commentary began—packed court, Bianca Jagger in the house, Assange with smart gray cropped hair, in the same suit he wore at his last hearing.

This is a hearing related to a sex abuse case, but the new media element was everywhere.  Assange’s supporters, sympathetic “hacktivists” wreaked havoc in the past week, temporarily disabling websites of PayPal, Visa and Mastercard, after those companies put the squeeze on Wikileaks’ funding.
Many of them were outside the courthouse.  There was a heavy police presence.  And an enormous media presence.

The Wikileaks founder has assembled a formidable legal team, including Geoffrey Roberston, a celebrity freedom of speech lawyer who worked with Salman Rushdie.  His Swedish lawyer thinks they can put down the sex allegations.  And that they were motivated by jealousy and disappointment.

This is the guy who has led a secret life, hiding out and moving from place to place all the time for a long time now. A real secret squirrel type. A total flight risk. So give him an ankle bracelet and let him go?

Meanwhile, the question remains as to whether Michael Moore put up some, or even all of the bail money. Say what?

Michael Moore offers to post bail for Julian Assange

“I support Julian, whom I see as a pioneer of free speech, transparent government and the digital revolution in journalism. His commitment to exposing the follies of government and business offers the greater society a chance to protect itself from these follies. Some aren’t just follies. Some are crimes. What do we do with someone who informs the authorities—and in this case it is the free people in a democracy who are the “authorities”—that a crime has been committed? Do we arrest HIM? Do we try to shut his mouth? Do we hound him, threaten him, track him down and hunt him as if HE is the criminal? He bravely informed the citizenry of what was being done in their name and with their tax monies. That is no crime. That is an act of patriotism. He should be thanked and honored, not abused and jailed.”

Oh brother. Not that any nation is charging this lowlife with espionage, oh no. He’s a “pioneer of free speech”, not a spy! The charges against him have nothing to do with that. And who knows, maybe they’ll bust him for that overdue library book he never returned to his college.

Why the hell can’t anybody just say this guy is a spy, and then shoot him? Where’s that Red with the umbrella and the radioactive needle when you need him? This is becoming the theater of the absurd more and more each day.

eye candy

It’s late.  I’m out of here for the night but leave you with something to “Build a Dream On”

When I’m alone with my fancies...i’ll be with you
Weaving romances...making believe they’re true

Give me your lips for just a moment
And my imagination will make that moment live
Give me what you alone can give
A kiss to build a dream on

(Harry Ruby, Bert Kalmar, Oscar Hammerstein)

This is Mrs. Wayne Rooney. She’s the wife of a famous football player here.  They’ve been together since their early teens but lately, ole Wayne I guess wanted to play away from home. So he had a fling with two prostitutes who are nowhere near as pretty as the wife.  He chose hot dogs over steak. Go figure.
I think they’re still together. For now anyway. I think she’s awesome!

cancun … where the elite meet ta eat and frolic while others pick up the tab.

DOWN, with global warming.

UP, with Climate Change.  All hail and long live the newer version of the old religion.  Tax donate till it hurts in order to help the poorer countries.

Hey, why not just let those poor countries tax the west and forget donations etc.  Hell, they’ve been taxing us for generations anyway.

Newspapers and charities insist on showing us pictures of baleful stares and pitiful poses (and mostly they are posed), of starving turd worlders. Like Somalia for one example. Haiti is another.  Oh yeah. Before I forget.

What the sam hill is our lady Sarah doing in Haiti?  She is getting some bad input from advisors I think.  Come on, is anyone gonna believe it was her idea? Even if it were, it’s going to be seen as more political (which you know it has to be) then any warm feelings for a failed country that has been an open money pit for the west for generations.  Nothing is going to change in that blighted place for the next thousand years.  Those folks just are not up to it. Alright, maybe they’ll start to make progress in 500 years. Sarah Palin in Haiti my friends just does not appear natural.  Couldn’t her advisors find something a bit closer to home to focus on?

Back to climate change and the horrid things man and woman kind are doing to our planet.  Leaving huge carbon footprints. One of the newest of the new deadly sins in this religion. So like 15,000 (or was it 1,500?) fat cats from around the globe, all gathered in comfy rooms at four or five star hotels in Cancun, with miles of rented limos and how many planes?  All to discuss the subject bequeathed by the prophet Gore, may he find a good piece to curl up with.

So it now comes to this.  It’s suggested that another tax be levied on the Brit taxpayer in gween taxes, to help the poor blighted countries of the world.
As though this country hasn’t paid, and been paying for years and years and years and years and years ......  When is this BS gonna end? When exactly are people going to wake the hell up and say damn it. Enough!  Groan.

Here. Take a look.

Cancun climate change conference: Britain is urged to impose £15 billion in green taxes

British taxpayers could pay an extra £600 per year in green taxes to help poor countries cope with the floods and droughts caused by climate change, Lord Stern has suggested.

By Louise Gray, Environment Correspondent Cancun

The economist said the UK would have to contribute around £1.5 billion from 2020 to a new ‘green fund’, that is expected to be set up during global talks on climate change in Cancun this week.

The Treasury is unlikely to set up new mechanisms to raise such a small amount of cash.

Therefore it is better to raise ten times as much and use just ten per cent for the green fund. The rest can be used as the Government sees fit.

An extra £15 billion could be raised in taxes on polluting industry and power from coal, gas and petrol. Although the levies will be directly on factories or power stations, eventually it will come down to the consumers.

If every householder was to pay the same amount it would cost £600, although ultimately it is likely to be unevenly distributed as households with more cars or high energy use will pay more.

“People would see these tax rises through electricity, through cars,” said Lord Stern.

However he was keen to point out that the overall bill for households would not necessarily increase as taxes should reduce elsewhere. Also energy costs should come down as a result of improved efficiency and more renewables.

“This is a story of people paying for the damage they do, this is stopping subsidising pollution,” he said.

“This is a story of shifting the basis of taxation, it could be from VAT, it could be income tax, or they could fund schools. This is a change in the balance of taxation.”

The UK is already paying billions of pounds installing wind turbines and other green energy sources, as part of global efforts to cut carbon emissions.

more here

The hard copy version says the taxpayer SHOULD pay ... the on line version says COULD pay.

Why not just forget about it altogether?  Cos then all those fat cats would have no where to fly every year at someone else’s expense. They’d most likely have to stay home. Maybe even with their wives and or husbands.

lets have more of the same kind of immigration so the whole country turns into rat’s nest.

And speaking of vermin …. Have any of you seen what she’s referring to?
I once posted the video here at BMEWS.  Crowding the sidewalks and parts of the road with backsides raised to the heavens, which also looks so damn stupid. Why don’t they realize that?  Anyway … they crowd ppl off the walkway and during prayer times some folks who live in the area who aren’t vermin, can’t get in or out till the vermin slither away at prayer’s end. You’ll ask, why don’t they move?  Well, some just can’t afford to. Others are pissed saying asking why they should move. They were there first and anyway, are native to France.  Oh but the grimy left can’t tolerate that.  As for her socialist opponents, they’re happy to give away their country to a foreign occupying group of venomous vermin.  When the crunch comes some day in the future, and at this rate you can bank on it, I sure hope the socialists there don’t call on us in the name of Lafayette.  Let em stew in the muck they make for themselves. All in the name of multi-culture, diversity and the third leg of their policy, appeasement.

Marine Le Pen: Muslims in France ‘like Nazi occupation’

Marine Le Pen, the leader of the French far-Right, drew heavy criticism after she said Muslims praying outside were like Nazi occupiers.

The daughter of Jean-Marie Le Pen, the outgoing leader of the National Front, told a rally that ten to fifteen places in France where Muslims worshipped in the streets were occupied territory.

“For those who want to talk a lot about World War II, if it’s about occupation, then we could also talk about it (Muslim prayers in the streets), because that is occupation of territory,” she said at the gathering in Lyon.

“It is an occupation of sections of the territory, of districts in which religious laws apply. It’s an occupation,” she said at the rally that was part of her bid to take the party leadership when her father steps down in January.

“There are of course no tanks, there are no soldiers, but it is nevertheless an occupation and it weighs heavily on local residents,” the 42-year-old noted.
The comments sparked condemnation from politicians from President Nicolas Sarkozy’s ruling UMP party and from the opposition Socialists and the Greens.
“This is the true face of the far right which has not changed in the slightest, and Marine Le Pen is just as dangerous as Jean-Marie Le Pen,” said Socialist Party spokesman Benoit Hamon.

LePen

PS: I have heard Brits say they no longer recognize their own country. I have had some tell me that trips to London felt like a voyage to another totally foreign country.  And things are not getting any better.

akbar snackbar again …. will the world ever be rid of the vermin?

Why are they always referred to as “extremists?” They aren’t actually extreme are they?  I kinda thought they were mainstream. In any event, they’re criminals.
Of course, they’re also a protected minority so we must be careful how we phrase things. You know, hurt feelings and all that. Although come to think of it, would not one have to be human to have feeling to be hurt in the first place?

Anyway, just posted this so you could see more evidence of the rop in action.

Muslim extremists attacked jail warder

Four young British Muslim extremists chanted religious slogans as they battered a prison officer. The gang chanted “death to the Kuffar” (non-believer) and “Allah Akbar” (God is Great) as they laid into the warder - who is in his 40s - after prayers.

It is believed they were trying to steal his keys to let other inmates out and start a riot at the notorious Feltham Young Offenders’ Institute in Middlex.

A fellow officer came to his rescue as he hid under a pool table and used his baton to drive them back.

A source said: “It was a frightening and violent assault. The guard was lucky to escape with his life.”

That time of year again

Ack. Once a year I take the stereo system and the video system apart and clean all the cables and the contacts. It’s a total pain in the ass, but it’s worth it. Clean contacts and an absence of any lingering static electricity really help things sound their best.

About a decade or more ago when we both had great incomes, we spent a year or two putting together a first class audiophile stereo. We drove all over the northeast auditioning gear, mixing and matching, and listening until our ears bled. And we’ve been happy with it ever since. Mostly. I say mostly because the audiophile bug is a disease. It’s very very difficult to build a system and then leave it alone. You can be forever auditioning gear, trying to get that last little bit of excellence wrung out. We’ve resisted that urge ever since, even though we knew that our transport- a Denon DVD-5000, which was top of the line back in it’s day - was not quite up to par with the rest of the system. Back then we were just about to make the leap and buy a Meridian 508.24 player, but then they changed models and the job market changed us. So we left things as they were, and were happy. Besides, we realized that it would only make sense that if we took the system up another quantum leap we’d need a specially built acoustically perfect room to play it in. That ain’t going to happen. So about 5 years ago we started saving up for a first class CD player. These things are expensive. Insanely expensive. And if you are not a rabid audiophile you simply can not understand. But at this point we’ve saved enough, and it’s time to do some more auditioning.

Anyway, it takes me hours and hours to pull all the speaker cables, interconnects, power cords, and antenna connections, wipe down the outsides with a dust cloth, spray their jackets with Static Guard, clean the terminals with Caig De-Oxit ( which is fantastic stuff and you should own some ), clean the connector jacks on all the equipment, then put everything back together just so and with a fresh treatment of Caig’s Pro-Gold for optimal conductivity.

So this took the better part of my day. Now we’re ready to go get that CD player. Which we have every expectation to be wonderful. And it should fit perfectly with the rest of the system, which is about as fast, clean, and neutral as can be had until you get up into the stratosphere where a stereo system costs as much as a house. We didn’t go that nuts, but ours is an “upstairs” system that is better than most systems used by the professional reviewers, except in terms of raw power. It’s enough for us, and we’ve had a solid decade of enjoyment from it, and we expect several decades more.

Of course, once we put that transport in, we’re going to start pining for better speaker cables than the double run of Synergistic Research Resolution Reference cables that we currently have. Too bad. They’ll do just fine for another decade, until our “nickel here, dollar there” piggy bank fills up enough to get something better.

And tonight we have a holiday party to go to, halfway across the state. Guess I’d better iron my pants.

I really should clean out the closet of my old stereo bits. Anybody want to buy an Audible Illusions Modulus 3a preamp? Comes with several sets of matched Russian 6922 tubes. Velvet smooth. How about a nice MSB Gold Link DAC and it’s P1000 power supply, custom made with all the upgrades? I’ve got a nice class A/B 100w stereo amplifier around here too, as good as a Parasound if not better, and an 8’ pair of those Gertz MI2 flat speaker wires with silver spades. And a super heavy duty power filter, 16 hospital grade outlets, top of the line brand. Sorry, no phonograph stuff.

another day, another suicide bomber. I wonder what religion he belonged to?????

Welcome to Monday .... and .... no surprise that early this morning was news of yet another scumball muslim bomber.  This time in Sweden. Well of course and why the heck not?  Sweden, another tolerant and generally liberal and open society that with open arms welcomes the lice we refer to as muslims and even thinks they may be human.  OK, a few are. Really. There are 2 or 3 running about someplace.

Also in the news is Terry Jones. You may recall he is the pastor from Florida who wanted to burn the koran on the anniv. of 9/11.  You may also recall the liberal world’s outrage which seemed to match the act of 9/11 itself.  You’d think he intended to fly a plane into a mosque.
Well, Pastor Jones has been invited to address the English Defense League, and may not be allowed in the country.
I can understand the govt. if they do deny his visa, thinking they have enough home grown trouble and riots and don’t need to import any new from the USA.
But what really gets my dander up are the fatuous hypocrites on the left, the loud mouths who demonstrate they say against Fascism. Fascism as defined by them, is anyone with an opinion contrary to what they want to hear. These freedom loving twits allow freedom to anyone holding their world view.  They haven’t the capacity to debate a point, or the brains to make one.  So in lieu of a coherent argument, they pelt the opposition with stones and eggs and do all they can to muzzle that which they can not abide. Which is of course, free speech. And criticism of anything the left holds dear, or pretends to hold so.

With regard to the pastor, muslims have warned that his visit to these shores will bring violence with it. That is, muslim leaders have predicted that there will be violence if he attends the EDL rally in February. Not that he intends to advocate violence against them. But Pastor Jones is outspoken in his belief that that islam itself is destructive and is in his view, an evil.  Well, I suppose were he to preach those views about Judaism or as an imam about Christianity, people would be up in arms and no doubt many Christians and Jews would also oppose his visa.  Poses an interesting problem.  Although there aren’t many if any in either of the last mentioned who condone or preach jihad or fly planes into buildings, use suicide bombers in a subway, or commit honor killings.

One has to wonder who the muslims are who think they should have a say in who does or doesn’t enter the UK. Most of them aren’t even native to these shores to begin with. Most aren’t and do not intend to be assimilated into western society. Ok for them of course to hold signs calling British soldiers killers and murderers and death to them and democracy. Oh, that’s all ok.  But lets not have another foreigner (who btw is NOT collecting benefits from this state) to join a rally of like minded Brits.  What can this man possibly say that hasn’t been said already?  What can he possibly say that many, many Brits already believe anyway? And not just Brits who are racist or belong to either the BNP or the EDL.  There is in fact a mistrust, a nervousness and an outright dislike of militant islam as a menace and obstacle to world peace.

There was a would be suicide bomber killed when his bomb went off prematurely.  He once lived in the UK, and was educated here. There are many more like him still here and unaccounted for so far.  Pastor Jones isn’t hiding from anyone btw. Just thought I should mention that.
But here reader .... lay your eyes on this bit of info.  Especially the line alluding to the fact that they (muslims) are among us. Yes they are and it’s a chilliung thought. Read on.

Sweden suicide bombings: warning audio message

Following is an abridged text of an audio message attached to an email sent to Swedish news agency TT shortly before two explosions in Stockholm on Saturday.
“In the name of God the merciful. Prayers and peace to the Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him.
“Thanks to Lars Vilks and his paintings of the Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him, and your soldiers in Afghanistan and your silence on all this so shall your children, daughters, brothers and sisters die in the same way as our brothers and sisters and children die.
“Now the Islamic states have fulfilled what they promised you. We are here in Europe and in Sweden, we are a reality, not an invention, I will not say more about this.
“Our actions will speak for themselves, as long as you do not end your war against Islam and humiliation of the prophet and your stupid support for the pig Vilks.
“To all Muslims in Sweden I say: stop fawning and humiliating yourselves for a life of humiliation is far from Islam. Help your brothers and sisters and do not fear anything or anyone, only the God you worship.
“To my family, try to forgive me. I could not sit and watch while all the injustice happens against Islam and the Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him, when the pig Vilks did what he did.
“Forgive me for my lies. I never went to the Middle East to work or earn money, I went there for jihad. I hope that you can understand me some time. I could never have told you all this or to anyone.”

gun control …..

I happen to see a short blurb in the paper yesterday about a young girl in one of my favorite states. Montana. Beautiful country there. Well anyway, seems the young lady is suspended from school because she reported that she had quite by mistake, left her hunting rifle in the trunk of her car.
She didn’t try and hide anything. She isn’t a member of some wacko group.  Now personally, I don’t know how you can forget you have a gun in your car. Even if it is in your trunk.  However .... I would also think that in that part of the country, a rifle is so much second nature it’s kind of like .... ?  I don’t know. I need an example.  But you know what I mean.

This might even get Drew outta bed. Heck of a story.

At first I couldn’t find the story I saw in our paper. So I Googled the town and state and bingo.  I found way more then I bargained for. I mean folks, there’s a lot here. More then first appeared in my Brit paper.
For example ... I found this unbelievable link.

A Colorado high-school student was informed of a 10-day suspension for having non-functioning drill team rifle replicas in her car in a parking lot at school.

A Texas school also threatened its students for even talking about guns

In another case, a student was suspended simply for advocating for the Second Amendment.

Whoa there .... huh?  So here’s the story on the young lady and all the links are here as well for you to read.

WEAPONS OF CHOICE

Community outraged at school’s suspension threat
Hunting rifle in trunk brings comment: ‘This is Montana, not Chicago!’

A community has surged forward to stand with a high school cheerleader who faces possible expulsion after she forgot to remove a hunting rifle from the trunk of her car and drove it to school.

“Good heavens educators. This is Montana, not Chicago! … To even consider punishment of any degree is outrageous. Remember, educators can be replaced,” wrote one person in the Kalispell Daily Inter Lake.

WND had reported days ago when Gary Marbut of the Montana Shooting Sports Association told WND he was contacted by the student’s mother.

Demarie DeReu is facing hearing Monday night with school district officials in the Columbia Falls school district to determine her future. Possible penalties include expulsion.

“She will possibly have her life derailed because a bunch of school idiots insist that she must be subject to an irrational, ‘zero tolerance’ policy about guns in schools that does not countenance lack of bad intent. The theory that people with malice will be intimidated into good conduct if people without malice are punished in lieu of them is idiocy at its finest,” Marbut has written.

He said DeReu, 16, is an honor roll student, a member of the Columbia Falls High School student council and a varsity cheerleader.

She’s also a hunter.

“Although she had no intent to break any rules or laws, or harm anyone, Demarie is at risk of having her college education derailed and maybe even being identified forever as a domestic terrorist,” Marbut reported.

It was over Thanksgiving that she went hunting with family and friends, but when she returned home forgot her unloaded hunting rifle was cased and locked in the trunk of her car.

When she returned to school, and heard an announcement that a “contraband” dog would be making the rounds of the parking lot, she remembered the gun locked in her trunk.

In an interview today with WND, she reported what had happened.

She said she told officials right away about her forgetfulness, and asked whether she could move the car or take it home.

Instead, she was escorted from her class by Assistant Principal Scott Gaiser who told her she would be expelled from school.

She hasn’t been back at class since.

The expulsion threat, in fact, also was included in a letter the superintendent sent the family, her attorney, Sean Frampton, told WND.

The Daily Inter Lake reported today that expulsion was an unlikely result, and, in fact, the superintendent, Michael Nicosia, told a WND reader in an e-mail that was forwarded to WND, “I could not and will not recommend expulsion in this matter.”

Backtracking on the message in the earlier letter to the family, he wrote, “If you knew our school district and how our board works with our kids, you would understand that this whole thing is greatly blown out of proportion. We live in a hunting and shooting sport culture. That is understood and respected. If those that have flooded the internet took the time to talk to me and/or a single board member, they would know that common sense and understanding will be use in the matter as in all such matters.”

The community sentiments were evident in the Inter Lake comment pages:

* “I think she did everything right.”

* “So the school superintendent is upset that people have been creating ‘a lot of hullaballoo” for nothing. I wonder where people got the idea that this kid was going to be expelled. On yeah, her principal said this.”

* “Nicosia’s current comments certainly do contradict what he said earlier. He is the one that blew this out of proportion and it was the comments and pressure from the public that restored some sanity.”

* “‘There’s been a lot of hullaballoo for nothing.’ NOTHING?? The sacred, God-given, constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms is NOTHING?”

* “Only in Montana, a cheerleader and honor student who hunts!!”

* “Let’s see if I can break this down. Basically, these educators would have tossed this girl on the trash heap without a second thought, in blind obedience to their zero tolerance policy. But now, with all the public outrage, they are concerned about their image and will feign common sense.”

The teen told WND she took hunter’s education when she was in 8th grade and got a buck her first hunting season. Ever since, she has a process to make sure her gun is unloaded and secured in its case.

“We are a hunting community,” she said. “It’s very common.”

Frampton said he expects numerous members of the community to be at the Monday night hearing for the cheerleader.

Marbut researched state law.

“The controlling Montana law about this is 20-5-202, M.C.A., which says about expulsion for bringing guns ‘to school,’ ‘… the trustees may authorize the school administration to modify the requirement for expulsion of a student on a case-by-case basis.’ Further, ‘to school’ is not defined in 20-5-2-202, but is at 45-8-361, M.C.A. as ‘… in a school building.’ Demarie’s hunting rifle was cased and locked in the trunk of her car in the parking lot, but not ‘in a school building,’” Marbut wrote.

In fact, Montana law specifies that “a student who is determined to have brought a firearm to school under this subsection must be expelled from school for a period of not less than 1 year, except that the trustees may authorize the school administration to modify the requirement for expulsion of a student on a case-by-case basis.”

State law also makes multiple references to banning any “weapon” from being “in a school building.”

WND reported earlier when a professor at a Connecticut school sparked controversy by calling police when a student talked about the Second Amendment during a class speech.

The report came from the Recorder, a newspaper at Central Connecticut State University, which cited the case of student John Wahlberg.

The student was fulfilling an assignment for his Communications 140 class that required him to discuss a “relevant issue in the media” when he and two other students on a team chose to talk about school violence, including recent events such as the 2007 shootings that left nearly three dozen people dead at Virginia Tech University.

The court fight over whether it can be enforced is pending before the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

There’s a bit more at the link and other links on the World Net page. Quite interesting.
WORLD NET DAILY

professor at a Connecticut school ?  That does not surprise me at all.  I almost think I can name the professor. Just a hunch but that idiot might be retired now anyway. It just reminds me of someone from long ago. Yeah, a dumb libtard.

She has been punched in the face and had a gun to her head … white farmer in Zimbabwe.

Read this a few days ago.  There’s another problem facing these people.  The Mugabe govt. is now selling farms to other whites, which are already owned by families still in residence.  Aside from any feeling of group loyalty, I don’t understand how the second group of farmers would so willingly trust that fugitive from a tall tree.  He’s wrecked the economy of his country, there are still people starving there, which I care nothing about, and his police continue to ruin what farms are left.  Oh well, it must be a black thing whites aren’t expected to understand.  Lets see, farms ... food .... burn farms or turn over to landless inexperienced folks who never farmed before ..... hmmm. Hunger. Now how’d that happen boss?
Not to worry .....  we be the white guy’s burden and him bail us outta this here mess. Again. Look you at Haiti man. Make white liberal feel guilty, he send more money.  Work evy time. You see.

White couple who fought the mob for their precious land and triumphed ... for a while

By Sunday Times Zimbabwean

Hope flashed into the weary lives of Heidi and Dirk Visagie only to be cruelly crushed days later. Just an hour’s drive from Harare, the Afrikaners were in the office of the district lands officer in small town Chegutu - it was their last, desperate attempt to save their small farm.

Glowering opposite them was Timothy Mudavanhu, a minor functionary of President Robert Mugabe’s Zanu-PF party, who has been plaguing their lives for nine years.

Most of Zimbabwe’s dispossessed 4000 white farmers have endured these supposed arbitrations to defend their livelihoods. Racist abuse is hurled at them by officials and often they are threatened and spat at. Eventually they leave in humiliation - and defeat.

Frank (not his real name), a lands official at Chegutu, flipped through the Visagies’ sheaf of four high court orders affirming their right to Wantage farm. Once issued by a judge, the injunctions are routinely ignored.

Frank looked up. “The matter is clear, “ he said. “The law must take its course.” The Visagies and Mudavanhu were stunned. In 10 years of free-for-all land grabbing there is no record of a lands officer having acted in favour of a white farmer.

Despite Mudavanhu’s shouting, Frank was resolute. He said the meeting was over. Mudavanhu asked if he was being kicked out like a dog. Frank replied: “No. A dog has four legs.”

The Visagies giggled and went home on a high, but victory lasted only 11 days. Mudavanhu returned to Wantage with his rent-a-mob. After going to Harare to see a lawyer the Visagies returned to find the padlock on their gate broken.

Mudavanhu’s lock was in its place and drunks were on the lawn around a bonfire. All the Visagies had was their car, cellphones and the clothes they stood up in.

A call to Frank established that the lands officer had been wrapped over the knuckles. “I have been transferred,” he told them. “Please do not tell anyone you have spoken to me.”

Eventually, with pressure from the South African Embassy - Dirk Visagie is a South African citizen - Mudavanhu was eased out by the deputy sheriff, still bawling that he would be back for “my farm”.

Heidi says she felt nauseous during the bubble, which lasted 11 days. “It was like the Mad Hatter’s tea party. Now I know where we stand.”

She is 38 and a third-generation Zimbabwean. She and her husband, 42, bought Wantage in 2001.

The government gave them a certificate stating the farm was not needed for resettlement. But three months later, Mudavanhu burnt down their citrus orchard.

She has been punched in the face and had a gun to her head. Crops were flattened, the Visagie house emptied. The mob held the gardener’s head underwater in the swimming pool to get the house keys. Her soft-spoken, gentle appearance is deceptive. Mudavanhu once told Visagie that Cecil Rhodes was her uncle. She exploded: “I am an Afrikaner! We went to war against the British, they put my people in concentration camps. Don’t you call me British!”

When the Visagies are left alone they run a thriving operation on their 86-hectare holding which produces 240 tons of tomatoes a year for a nearby cannery. There are also rows of tuberoses, a fragrant lily.

Dirk is a meticulous farmer, his wife says. But every time Mudavanhu ploughs through their crops, it takes something out of you, she says.

Usually her husband puts on a brave face with each onslaught, but last time he gave up. The couple even lost their sense of humour, until a swarm of bees set on Mudavanhu as he was ranting at them.

Dirk has a heart problem, and the stress gives his wife eczema. Each time Mudavanhu takes occupation she moves their belongings to relatives. When he has been fought off, she returns. The unpacking restores her sanity. She was putting away tea cups when I arrived. But she knows Mudavanhu will be back.

foreign vandals roam the world causing damage and riot. you can not make it up. read this

I guess I’m pretty well PO’d about the riots (what else might you call them) and the promise of more.  There is now the possible threat that the cops may be given water cannons.  Why not real bullets?  Have just read and will share here, and update on something i mentioned yesterday. Foreign agitators. But it’s actually worse then I imagined.  News out now is that they are organized, and there’s even an organization that goes around the world doing this sort of thing. Rioting.

The police in other countries, all the intel services know about these groups and generally who is behind them. Which begs the question, then why can’t they all be killed?  Look at the trouble they cause and the menace they are.  They are no different then violent criminal gangs.

What happens to a society, a country, when the very people sworn to protect are powerless to do anything but watch?  Powerless to do more then make an arrest here and there and nothing done about the violent, criminal anarchist who thrives on this.  And eventually, who pays the tab? Why who else? The law abiding taxpayer. So the txpayer is then hit 2wice. First as the recipient of the criminal action, and then as the one who pays the clean up bill.

I’ve edited the article and touched a few high points. Take a look at the photos, the link below.
Do these guys look like ‘students?’ Jeesh. I just can not believe that the police forces in various countries can’t rid the world of these scum. Really. I don’t understand.  And why is the paper referring to these groups as ‘revolutionaries?’ They are simply lawless and violent for violence’s sake. Period. And tuition fees are apparently not the only thing the anarchists are demanding.  They want an end to capitalism and govt. in general.

The only positive note I can think of in relation to the USA is ...... thank heaven and Mr. Colt for an armed citizenry.

Scotland Yard last night issued a ‘rogues’ gallery’ of 14 demonstrators being hunted over the student riots.

Thousands of students took to the streets of Central London on Thursday to demonstrate against hikes in tuition fees.
But the protest became violent after being hijacked by anarchists and other militant groups.

Riot police were drafted in as an angry mob tried to break into the Treasury. Vandals ran amok through Westminster, the Cenotaph was defaced and the night ended with dozens of people injured and 34 arrests.

It is understood anarchists from Italy, Germany, Spain and Latvia were among the militants who brought mayhem to the capital.
Others came from as far away as Argentina, arrived in London at least a week before the protest and were involved in planning the attacks on the Treasury and the Palace of Westminster, The Mail on Sunday has learned.

Some are thought to belong to an anarchist group called Black Bloc, which originated in Holland and Germany, and has taken part in riots all over the world.
Mail on Sunday journalists covering the protest saw a Latvian man break off a pole from metal fencing before hurling it at police in Parliament Square.

image

A group of Black Bloc members said they were from Latvia and had come with a rucksack full of paint bombs and smoke grenades.
One man calling himself Wilf, who said he was from Dresden, was seen to throw a brick and a metal sign at police in Whitehall.

Another demonstrator, who said he was from Turin and lived in a squat in London, said: ‘I’m here to help the students and the people who are poor. I’ve been photographed by the police but I’m immune to it.
‘The students here aren’t really tough. I saw one of them hitting the police. He dropped his keys on the floor and then started asking the police nicely whether he could have them back.’
The foreign revolutionaries were joined by hooligans and radicals from groups such as Anti Cuts Action, Students for Climate Change and a Trotskyist alliance called Counterfire.

Detectives are now examining hours of CCTV and police footage to trace suspects.
The actions of the rioters have been condemned by a decorated war hero who lost both his legs while serving in Afghanistan.

Cpl Ricky Furgusson, who last week was presented with the Military Cross by the Queen, described Thursday’s violence as ‘totally out of order’.
And he was particularly sickened by the actions of thugs who targeted the Cenotaph and a statue of World War Two leader Sir Winston Churchill in Parliament Square.

FOREIGN VANDALS AND CRIMINALS TAKE OVER STUDENT PROTEST

I believe the sign says cut war, not welfare.

sweet 13 .... how’d they get here? 1) parent might have brought them as some did. or 2) school outing ok’d by left wing school system?

image

Last week I mentioned an organization I had never been aware of. No reason for me to be aware. It’s for young ppl.
Drew did a bit of research, actually more then a bit, and I read the link he provided.  What an eye opener. I think I know now, how this country had drifted so much to the left over the years.  Labour as Lyndon says. Yeah.  But I have just discovered something more.
The group calling itself Woodcraft Folk.

In NO way am I saying that they approve or support in any way, the violence and vandalism carried out by thugs this past week and more. They are not about that. BUT .... they do support and have sent kids young as 11 to the protests and encourage them.
AND ... they are decidedly left and have been active for some 40 years.  What’s that tell ya?  Here .. I want you to see something. I picked up on this and it’s where I decided the rot to the left got its claws on a generation.  Woodcraft Folk. Gee. Sounds so woody and cozy I can smell the bark and the leaves.

The aim of Woodcraft Folk is to educate indoctrinate and empower children and young people to be able to participate actively in society while staying safe and feeling supported.

Recent decisions by the government to try and cut Educational Maintenance Allowance, increase student debt and cut funding for schools and universities are making children and young people feel they must protest to get their voices heard. We are not surprised that many young Woodcraft Folk members are joining those peaceful protests against the government’s actions

Our primary concern is to make sure that children are safe and supported when they are making their voice heard whether that is in local action or at national demonstrations. With this aim, we will be supporting Young Woodcraft Folk members at the mass demonstration and lobby on Thursday by marching together,

creating an environment that is friendly, supportive and fun. We are also trying to provide a contact number and a safe space for if any Woodcraft Folk members get scared, cold, lost or need our help. We will be equipped with blankets and hot chocolate in case people get cold and we are also exploring the issues in our local groups across the country while telling stories from the protests on our blog.

The proposed education cuts, rise in student debt and cuts to EMA will have the most impact not on current university students, but on sixth formers and children still in school, but to our knowledge, we are the only national children’s organisation that has committed to support young people when they decide to take action together.

So, if any kiddie gets what? Scared? Scared? I suppose I can see that after last week.  But what I take from this little bit is the long standing indoctrination
and as Drew asked last week.  YOUNG PIONEERS? In the UK?  Yeah. I guess it looks that way.  And these will be the future policy makers one day.

The woody folk here have not told the whole story. Not at all. But they have indoctrinated the young with their version of what they want them to believe.

YOUNG COMRADES of WOODCRAFT FOLK

“This bumptious Idiot.”

My last post highlighted a screeching left wing liberal moonbat with no more brains then god gave a banana.

Well, just to be politically fair …. we have our share of Moonbats among convs. as well.  And here’s an example. His name is Ken Clarke and he is the “Justice Secretary.” (Justice. Now there’s a word that causes a giggle or two) He has been in the news quite a bit lately and not a few are confusing him with the left.  He has a few interesting ideas about criminality and prisons and rehabilitation of criminals.  As opposed to jailing them.
For instance … he says,
“The first time someone bumps someone off the fortnight after they are let out, there will be outrage. But you have to explain to the sensible public that you can’t give an absolute guarantee.”

What he is referring to are the criminals and as well, those who are mentally unbalanced, getting out of prison early.  He does not appear to have the support of the Prime Minister on this issue. Or I don’t think he does.

Mr Clarke says that the public “Must accept the danger that his plan to free mentally ill prisoners could lead to someone being bumped off.” Nice phrase that.  Bumped off.  Cool.  Has a Hollywood ring to it but …. it still means KILLED. As in MURDERED!

I don’t know because I have not counted nor have I researched the issue.  But I damn well know what I read all to often in all our papers.  Sure, if it bleeds it leads.  I understand that.  The problem is that there seem to be a number of folks who have become victims and are doing the bleeding.  And the numbers do not seem to be getting any smaller.  Do any of you out there actually think someone like say, Charles Manson, could be rehabilitated?  I for one do not.  And there are a few crazies running about here who should be shot, hung or gassed to make the law abiding safer. Safer in their homes and safer on their streets.  You do not get that by releasing prisoners with long records or being off the rails mentally.  And I do not make an exception for those who hear voices and so get off due to “diminished responsibility.” Take a look at a couple of the photos at the link below. Do those guys even appear human?  How many times do we read that some wanker was off his meds poor boy, and so quite naturally stabbed the first person he saw after breakfast. Or dinner. Or at the first inner voice he heard.  I have no patience for them and do not trust the shrinks who say someone is “now safe” to be out in the public.

By the way … Mr Clarke admitted that he may be more liberal then most conservatives.

Freed mentally ill prisoners could ‘bump someone off’ - but they should NOT be in prison, claims Ken Clarke

By Simon Walters

Mr Clarke’s chief Tory opponent, Shipley MP Philip Davies, said: ‘Ken Clarke does have a tendency to political pig-headedness. His law and order beliefs are like his pro-Euro beliefs – he is equally wrong and equally adamant about both.
‘It is a false argument for him to claim that those of us who want criminals sent to prison somehow do not believe in rehabilitation. It is a question of where the rehabilitation takes place.’
Conservative MPs are divided over laid-back grandee Mr Clarke. Some say his experience is a huge asset, but others claim his off-hand manner is as damaging as his lenient stance on prisons.
When popular ‘Cameron Cutie’ Essex Tory MP Priti Patel asked him for an assurance last week that scrapping laws designed to keep paedophiles behind bars until they are no longer dangerous would not backfire, Mr Clarke scoffed at ‘loony tunes’ critics.
And former Labour Home Secretary Jack Straw says he fears Mr Clarke’s policies will lead to more lawlessness not less.
Film-maker Julian Hendy, whose father Philip was murdered in Bristol in 2007 by a mentally unstable man with a history of criminal behaviour, said Mr Clarke ‘sounded pretty glib’.
Mr Hendy, who spent nearly three years researching mental health homicides in Britain after the murder, said: ‘I’d like to meet Ken Clarke to talk about the reality of losing someone to someone who has mental health problems.
‘Every year, 100 people are killed by someone who has mental health problems. It would be OK to release them if they were to get proper treatment – but the system is simply not up to it.’

ALL THE STORY IS HERE

Here a few local quotes and on writer for the Mail, Peter Hitchens, refers to Mr. Clarke as, “This bumptious Idiot.”

Kenneth Clarke - the Conservatives’ answer to Harriet Harman. Bonkers!
- Phil, Braintree, Essex

Maybe Clarke himself should be ‘locked up’ - and kept away from frightening people.

I’m sure he’d be quite so relaxed about his stupid idea if any member of his family encountered one of the people who shouldn’t be allowed to roam free.

This man is dangerous; he’s a lunatic; he needs his medication and the attention of doctors - to prevent his stupid ideas harming and causing danger to the people of the UK.

A Government’s first duty is the safety and security of its citizens; but then Clarke was one of the Traitors who happily signed us further into the Animal Farm EUSSR, so we can’t expect him to acknowledge any idea of safeguarding UK citizens.

Yeah, that confirms it - the man is dangerous......

applause from some of the left as immigrants on benefits send money out of the country.

I much doubt that the dumbest conservative could come up with this bizarre statement by the deputy head of the Labour Party.  There are folks here with the consv. label who are off the rails, but it really take a far left, left, left barking mad socialist ignoramus of the politically correct liberal establishment to sing the praises of this activity.  And not only that, but suggest more of it is a good idea. And not only that, but to insist that Britain NOT cut it’s overseas aid.
It’s always so easy when you’re giving away other peoples money. Innit?

THIS IS A WOMAN SO STUPID, SHE ONCE GOT STUCK IN A REVOLVING DOOR BECAUSE SHE SAID, THE DOOR KNOB WAS MISSING.

Here, take a look at what this Moonbat thinks is jolly good.

Harriet Harman praises ‘hero’ immigrants who send welfare handouts home

By Simon Walters

Last updated at 2:45 PM on 12th December 2010

The deputy Labour leader was speaking to voters with foreign backgrounds in her Southwark constituency

Harriet Harman has praised ‘heroic’ immigrants who claim welfare payments in Britain and use the cash to support families living abroad.

She said the Government should make it easier for them to send the money home and called for tax refunds to encourage more immigrants to follow suit, in particular those who paid for their children to be educated in the Third World.

image

The Labour Deputy Leader, who is also the party’s spokesman on International Development, derided ‘those who say we should look after our own first’ in the recession and vowed to fight any attempt to cut the £9.4 billion overseas aid budget.
Last night the Government challenged her ‘bizarre’ conduct.

Her comments were made at a meeting at Southwark town hall in her South London constituency, called to find ways to increase the flow of money from Britain to other nations in ‘remittances’ – money sent by families who have settled here to those left behind.

The meeting was attended by many local voters with Nigerian, Ugandan and other foreign backgrounds, as well as representatives of aid charities.
An eyewitness said: ‘Harriet led a discussion on how to back up what she called the “hidden heroes of development through developing new policies on remittances”.’

Ms Harman said she had conducted a survey of her constituents, mainly West Africans, who were regularly sending money back home to sustain children and other relatives.

‘She said she had been amazed by how many were doing this,’ said a source. ‘Some were themselves in receipt of State benefits here and were still sending what they could abroad.’

Ms Harman said she intended to launch a new international survey to learn how other countries handled remittances to poorer nations to enable Britain to ‘make the procedure easier, even possibly with some sort of tax relief for those who send payments to educate relatives abroad’.

International Development Minister Alan Duncan called on Ms Harman to explain her ‘bizarre’ comments
Her radical proposal was supported by some at the meeting.

But one member of the audience said Ms Harman would have to be ‘careful’ how she campaigned on the issue. ‘She was told that if it was found the majority of people sending remittances were on benefits, critics would say it proved that they are receiving too much in State handouts if they can still send money abroad,’ according to one person who was present.

source and more

Well I’ll give her one thing. She kept her word on that. Not only that, she expanded it to include ALL minorities. We have the same kind of champaign liberal back home.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
