Just how insane does a place have to be, to allow this sort of thing for so long?

When a state makes things easy to get away with, people I guess will try.
This shit faced no good bum should have been taken out long ago.  What’s wrong with ppl? Not one person tried to maim or kill the bastard.
The result of course is that he goes from victim to victim.  And of course if the powers that be write laws that are so easily taken advantage of, rats like this one will do exactly that.  Before anyone tries to tell me that two wrongs do not make a right, Oh YES they do.  In fact, I don’t see or understand why taking out this guy would classify as a wrong. Seems to me it would come under a heading like, Public Service.

Serial claimant’s bonanza from ‘ageist’ job ads

By: Robert Watts
The Times

A SERIAL litigant is believed to have earned thousands of pounds by bombarding employers with claims of ageism simply because they used the words “school leaver” or “recent graduate” in job advertisements.

image

John Berry, 54, has initiated actions against at least 60 firms over three years even though he does not apply for the jobs. He uses the government’s tribunal service website to lodge age discrimination claims against recruitment agencies and other businesses.

Lawyers say they have complained to the Ministry of Justice that the online system — which allows numerous actions to be lodged free and with minimal evidence — needs changing.

Once the firm becomes aware of the action, Berry emails his targets to warn them they can avoid an employment tribunal only by making him a “settlement” payment of up to £3,500.

One small trader said: “I am not prepared to be bullied by this man. I cannot afford to pay him. We’re in a recession and I am struggling to keep the business afloat.”

To encourage companies to settle, Berry usually opts to hold the tribunal far away from where the business is based.

He made a similar claim of age discrimination against a woman running a small business in the Midlands last year. He demanded £2,500, but lowered his price by £1,000 after she wrote back saying it would leave her struggling to pay her mortgage or feed her family.

Got a hot Valentine’s date? Don’t dress up if you want him to undress you later…

I’m not sure if Liz Jones is serious or just kidding with this fashion piece.  I read it as funny, but something tells me she is dead serious.
Whatever.  It’s a funny read although there are things here I don’t pretend to understand.

This woman is very high maintenance, which the wife and I gather from other things she writes about.
Anyway, BMEWS will survive a bit of fashion advice from the lady I know.  Hope so.

LIZ JONES: FASHION THERAPY

By Liz Jones
08th February 2010

Got a hot Valentine’s date? Don’t dress up if you want him to undress you later...

The other day, I learned a valuable lesson. I was in a business meeting with a man in the lobby of a trendy London hotel.

He was, to my intense surprise, almost crumpet, and so I broke the habit of a lifetime and decided I would flirt with him.

I took off my jacket and draped it over the chair, revealing the tight, black, sleeveless Katharine Hamnett T-shirt I was wearing beneath (this garment is still as black and as skin-hugging as the day I bought it in 1989, proving designer clothes can sometimes be money well spent).

The jacket slid to the floor, and the man rather gallantly picked it up. As he did so, he glanced at the label, Yves Saint Laurent. He rolled his eyes. ‘No, come on,’ I said. ‘What is wrong with a bit of YSL?’

‘Do you really want to know?’ he said.

‘Yes, of course I do.’

‘It’s French, it’s designer, it’s expensive and it means you’re probably going to be a complete pain in the arse.’

‘OK,’ I said. ‘What else is wrong?’

‘Your shoes are too high and clumpy, your bag too big and heavy - I just know that I will be asked to carry it at some stage; either that or it will bash me in the leg - and none of what you have on says “carefree” to me.

‘You are wearing far too much make-up: no man likes to be smudged with brown foundation.’ He pointed out that my bag - a navy Michael Kors tote - had even been given its own seat, as I never put my handbag on the floor. Oh dear.

EYE CANDY AND GIRL IN BIKINI

UPDATE: BMEWS readers are a very observant bunch, but this is a first. Reader IBM writes in “Don’t who the girl is but unless I’m very much mistaken the location is Target Masters II range behind the cop shop in Milpitas CA.”

And I was gonna mention how I thought the ear muffs were Peltors. That’s got my comment beat by a mile.

image

OK first of all there’s a mis match of colors here.  Her ear warmers are the wrong color to wear with the gun. No?
Don’t care for the bikini. Same color as ear warmers would work tho. Did I miss anything?

This pix looks familiar to me but darned if I can remember if it’s been posted here already, or I saw it someplace else.
As long as they aren’t pointed at me, there’s something nice about a girl and her gun.  Kinda sexy.

MUDSLIME BUS DRIVER STOPS HIS BUS FOR PRAYER. CHRISTIAN DRIVERS SHOULDN’T TRY THIS.

HERE WE GO AGAIN,AGAIN,AGAIN ....  MUSLIMS. WOULD THAT SOMEONE COULD RID THE WORLD OF THIS SCOURGE, THIS SLIME, THIS WORLD CANCER IN HUMAN FORM.

Gee, it’s only a thought and no more guys but, what do you suppose might happen were a Christian to pull the same stunt?

I have posted the full article here. Too good to edit. Bizarre.  Raises some questions.  Why wasn’t the ass-wipe fired?  It’s so good to know that the company “had a word with the driver.” This episode so clearly shows how they take over and make THEIR NEEDS and requirements paramount regardless of the setting or country they are in.  This creep simply took it for granted that he had a right to inconvenience a bus load of passengers.
And btw ... why should any company have to provide special areas set aside for ANY religion?
That’s daft. It’s politically correct I guess.  Suck ups!

Passengers left stunned after Muslim bus driver pulls over and begins praying in the aisle

By Daily Mail Reporter

A Muslim bus driver stunned passengers when he pulled over and started praying in the aisle - with the engine still running.

The driver parked without warning then rolled out a fluorescent jacket as an improvised prayer mat.

He took off his shoes, knelt down facing Mecca, and began to chant.

The prayer session held up the bus for more than five minutes with no-one able to get on or off.

Passenger Gayle Griffiths complained to Transport for London about the bizarre incident on the No.24 bus in Gospel Oak, north London, this week.

Mother-of-one Miss Griffiths, 33, of Camden, north-west London, had boarded the bus a few minutes earlier on her way home from work.

She says that she even feared at the time that the driver might be a fanatic planning to blow up the bus.

She said: ‘I have done the journey a million times before but I was in a hurry to get home to pick my little girl up from school.

‘We had just picked up and let off people at a bus stop and moved off again when the driver stopped the bus very suddenly.

‘He got out of his cab, leaving the engine running, and walked towards the middle exit door.

‘He laid out a fluorescent jacket on the floor and I thought that somebody must have been sick and he was covering it up.

‘I didn’t really think much of it.

‘But then he took off his shoes and began praying. I was gobsmacked and quite bewildered.’

Miss Griffiths said the bus driver didn’t give the passengers any explanation as to what he was doing.

‘He hadn’t addressed the passengers at all,’ she said. ‘I didn’t say anything and nor did anyone else. I thought it would all be over in 30 seconds but it went on for over five minutes.

‘It even went through my mind that this might be some sort of terrorist attack with the bus blown up because I had heard that suicide bombers prayed before attacks.

‘As the engine was running anyone could also have got in the cab and driven off with a bus full of passengers.

‘He was also blocking the exit, so if something had happened we would not have been able to get off.

‘Everyone was looking round in a mix of shock and amazement. It was truly bizarre, ludicrous and aggravating.

‘We are delayed often enough as it is in London.

‘We live in a multi-cultural society but there is a time and a place for prayer and the middle of a journey with a busload of passengers is not it.’

Transport for London said it had apologised to all the passengers for the delay to their journey and said all Muslim drivers are being reminded that they should pray during statutory rest periods rather than hold up services.

A TfL spokesman said: ‘A route 24 bus was delayed following a decision by the driver to stop the bus to pray.

‘The bus company, London General, has had a word with the driver as this is not something that should be happening.

‘TfL apologises to passengers for any inconvenience this may have caused them.

‘We understand that there is some flexibility in the Muslim faith as to the times of day that drivers can pray.

‘TfL and the individual bus operating companies acknowledge and value the diversity of their staff.

‘As diverse employers, TfL and the bus operators provide suitable prayer or quiet rooms at garages and other key locations for staff who wish to practise their faith.

‘We have asked London General to remind drivers who have a requirement to pray to use these facilities during their rest periods.’

SARA HAS SIGHT ON WHITE HOUSE BUT MINUS THE PARTY.  TEA THAT IS.  ??

SOME COMMENTS ON PALIN by people who don’t know the USA and wouldn’t learn if given the chance.

A Molly wrote:

I do believe everyone in life gets what they deserve..so if Palin is what America wants, so be it. I am not going to lose any sleep over it.

All I can do from here is hope that Europe will never again be fooled by the lies that have come out of America in the past and will never lead our troops into another 8 years of war on their behalf.

Let the cowboys fight their own battles in the future.

If it’s in Palin you trust, well good luck to you!

Ellie Light wrote:

Sarah Palin is a proven quitter, with little experience and even lower inate intelligence (I can see Russia). Her only accomplishment is that she can reproduce, but even that she did not do properly. She is not even a good mother, raising a daughter that breeds an illegitimate grandchild. She is a joke. Her only supporters are gap toothed inbreds from Appalachia.

And that’s about as kind as it gets here among the comments from ppl foreign and domestic with regard to Americans (who they take to be war loving, ignorant, inbred hillbillys) who led them into an 8 year war ongoing.  The suggestion is also made that America should fight it’s own battles and not drag others into our quarrels.  Some see Palin as “Bush in a wig.”
Tell the truth, the comments section is more interesting then the article but also more aggravating because they also show how little they know us, and how mean spirited some folks can be with regard to the USA.

There was a column recently from America reporting on the trend Obama seems to be setting, that the writer feels is somewhat isolationist.  Which he doesn’t believe to be a good thing.  Being something of an isolationist myself, I wondered if that’s a bad thing.  Is Barry doing something right?  Nah. In my dreams.  But I’ll be honest no matter how bad it might make me look.  I wish we could be isolationist and circle the wagons and tell the world to go to hell.
Americans have enough home grown problems to deal with.  Serious problems that I don’t see being resolved no matter who’s in office.  We mostly aren’t getting along very well with each other, who needs the additional headache of arguments with people outside our own country?

Back to Mrs. Palin for a moment.

She was paid a hefty sum it’s been reported, to address the Tea Party folks in Nashville recently.  As I understand it and if I don’t I know BMEWS will correct me, she also accepted a second speaking date with the TP.  BUT ... she has also appeared FREE on behalf of Republicians who have different views then that of the Tea Party Congress.  She has also agreed to speak on behalf of Sen, McCain.  Why?  He surely isn’t running for anything. Is he?

Sometimes I get to feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Here’s part of the article and as always the rest is at the link below.

Sarah Palin has her sights on the White House not Tea Party movement

Giles Whittell in Washington
The Times

Sarah Palin has given the clearest indication yet that her ambition is to become President of the United States, rather than merely the leader of the radical grassroots Tea Party movement that adores her.

The day after her return to national politics with a barnstorming attack on President Obama in a speech in Nashville, Mrs Palin was shown a poll yesterday ranking her the top Republican candidate for 2012 and asked if she would run.

“I would,” she said without hesitation. “I would, if I believed that that was the right thing to do for my country and for my family.”

In an interview with Fox News, for which she is also a paid analyst, Mrs Palin said that it would be “absurd not to consider what it is that I can potentially do to help our country”. She said that she would not “close a door that could perhaps be open to me in the future” and acknowledged that she had started receiving daily political and economic briefings by e-mail from a panel of Washington experts.

In oblique reference to a disastrous pre-election interview with CBS in 2008, she added: “I sure as heck better be more astute on these national issues than I was two years ago.”

Haiti’s blood sport, besides rape and killing people, isn’t a sport at all.

Be sure and donate lots of money to these folks as those cocks can get pricey and besides, YOU own them. uh huh.

Sorry but there’s something grotesque about the need to make some living thing suffer in order for somebody to gain pleasure.  Pleasure through blood and guts. Literally.  Hang on a minute.  I’m not sorry for saying that.  It is grotesque. It’s barbaric. It’s less then human.

I saw a headline in the paper recently about the wonderful crowning achievement of a teen age bull fighter who killed 6 bulls in a day. Oh what a splendid thing to aspire to. NOT!  I’m most happy when the bull manages to gore the tormentor.  The youngest btw is 12 years old.  He got hurt last week and was carried off crying for mommy.  Good.  I hope it still hurts.  I’m just sorry they aren’t graveyard dead.

If people really have a great need for blood sports, and there is nothing at all sporting about them, then why not bring back duels and legalized fights to first blood or death between willing combatants who know what they’re about.  Make it professional combatants.  Why not?

Haiti’s earthquake survivors turn to cockfighting to raise spirits

They have come to forget their troubles,” said Gabriel Theagene, 83, the rheumy-eyed, gold-toothed, second-generation owner of this particular pit in Plaine, a wretched township on the northern edge of Port-au-Prince.

“People need this as a distraction to forget the earthquake,” says William Cherry, 40, who said that his house had been crushed.  In truth, they would be here anyway.

On this particular afternoon more than 100 men had gathered for the thrice-weekly fights, and by the time The Times arrives halfway through the afternoon the pit is already spattered with blood and feathers.

Cocks in various states of health or distress are tied to posts or bicycle wheels around the yard’s perimeter. One man hawks an evil-smelling moonshine called bois cochon from two filthy plastic containers. Another takes bets on a card game.

People Cavemen vermin urinate against the walls.

The excitement builds as the next contest approaches.

EDUCATION, IMMIGRATION, STUDENT VISA SCAMS. WHAT NEXT? HOW ABOUT A FIRE SALE?

It wasn’t long after I arrived on these shores that I discovered and was vocal about, what I perceived to be the giving away of this country.  It wasn’t rocket science or a great mental leap of any kind.  It was just obvious.  I suggested to some friends here that if Brits were in so big a hurry to give away their country, and it seemed to be that way, then why drag things out?  Why not just put the country up for sale on eBay and be done with it quickly.

The town where pupils speak 150 different languages

By Daily Mail Reporter

Schools in just one town are having to cope with pupils who speak 150 different languages, a survey has found.

They range from the Ghanaian dialect of Akan, through the African language of Chichewa and the ancient Aztec tongue of Nahuatl to the Indian language of Telugu.

This is as well as the more common foreign languages of Urdu, Punjabi and Polish.
The survey in Reading, Berkshire, shows how schools are being put under mounting pressure by the rising levels of pupils who do not speak English as their first language.

White Cliffs of Dover to be sold to the French to help reduce Government’s debt

By Vanessa Allen

For generations Dover has stood as an indomitable symbol of Britain’s freedom and independence.

The town, with its white cliffs, port and sprawling castle stood at the very edge of the nation’s frontier with the Continent.

But now part of that proud history is up for sale and the leading bidder is revealed as the former age-old enemy – France.

image

The Port of Dover is being recommended by Government advisers for sale to the French authorities.

It is one of a string of public assets which have been earmarked for privatisation as the Government battles with a record £830billion national debt.

The proposal for the port has prompted outrage.

Prospective Tory MP for Dover Charles Elphicke said: ‘It’s clear Gordon Brown has no sense of the history of our nation or the pride of our town.

‘How dare he consider selling it all off to the French? Dover is the English border. The people of Dover have a clear message for him – hands off our port, hands off the English border.’

MAILONLINE

Oh heck. Just can’t resist one more example, not related to first story at top, which I suppose makes it even worse. And ppl have to be soooo careful when using words as you can all imagine.  Use the wrong pc word or phrase and naturally it goes from being a scam to a bad racial attitude.

New promise to end student visa scams: But the Tories jeer ‘haven’t we heard it all before?’

By JAMES SLACK

Alan Johnson yesterday promised yet another crack down on the rampant abuse of the foreign student visa regime.

The Home Secretary said tougher rules would be introduced requiring applicants to speak English to near-GCSE level and ban those on short UK courses from bringing dependents.

Officials claim the new regulations will lead to a sharp reduction in the 240,000 student visas currently issued by the UK each year - the equivalent of one every two minutes. But the Conservatives accused the Government of ‘floundering around’ as it sought to correct its own mistakes.

Bringing “dependents?” Students have a crying need to bring dependents?  Jeesh.

Good Reporting: An Example

Connecticut Power Plant Has Gas Explosion

Heavy Casualties Feared

BREAKING NEWS

Large explosion reported at power plant in Connecticut
WASHINGTON
Sun Feb 7, 2010 12:35pm EST

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A gas line exploded on Sunday at a power plant in Middletown, Connecticut and local media reported dozens of casualties.

The Middletown Press said the explosion was at the Kleen Energy plant. Middletown is 23 miles south of the city of Hartford. The newspaper said on website ambulances and a helicopter were on the scene.

The explosion was felt in neighboring towns and black smoke was visible for miles (km) around.

A plant official told a local NBC TV station the facility was a 620 megawatt gas-fired power plant.

Thank you Reuters and Middletown Press. When a power plant blows up, the very first thing we want to know is that it WASN’T nuclear. After that we’ll get to the casualties, the environmental damage, how far away the blast could be heard (Long Island NY, reportedly) and whether it was terrorism.

But first let us know if we’re all gonna die in the next couple of hours. Not nuclear = no, we aren’t. Thank you.

from The Middletown Press:

We’re hearing reports of an explosion of a gas line by the Kleen Energy plant on River Road. All of Middletown’s fire departments are working at the scene, and Durham, Middlefield, Portland and Cromwell fire departments have been called in to assist.

Four ambulances and a Life Star helicopter have been called to the scene. Most of River Road has been blocked off. Flames were shooting out of a pipeline at one point, but the gas line has now been shut off.

The incident, which happened around 11:30 a.m., shook most homes in Middletown and as far as Portland. There are reports of numerous casualties.

Reader comments there show that the blast occurred at 11:15am. The Middletown Press is doing almost constant updates, so they’re only publishing a couple paragraphs at a go. TV News has the story, but no cameras on scene yet. It’s going to be a big ugly mess. Fox News says “massive casualties”, which could mean anything, but obviously it is not good news.

An older press release that talks about the building project they’ve got going:

The Kleen Energy power plant project is typical of High Steel’s increasing involvement in the power and energy sector.

Berlin Steel of Massachusetts took the lead bidding the complete steel fabrication package, which totaled approximately 5,000 tons. Berlin involved High Steel early in the budgeting phase, and the two companies worked closely together through the bidding process. Contractor O&G Industries, Inc. awarded Berlin the fabrication contract, with High Steel as a subcontractor. High Steel’s scope involved large roof girders, crane girders, and several very large transfer girders for a total of 750 tons of built-up sections.

Kleen Energy Systems, LLC’s new 620 MW Combined Cycle Electric Generating Facility is located in Middletown, Connecticut. Unlike older power plants that are less than 30 percent efficient, the new gas-fired, combined cycle power plant is designed to operate at over 60 percent efficiency. The combined cycle process achieves this increased efficiency by sending waste heat from the gas turbine generator, that would normally be lost, to a steam turbine to generate even more electricity.

The plant is expected to come on line by June 1, 2010.

More background info here on the building project.

An example of bad reporting

At last! Have they finally found a ‘weapon of mass destruction’ in Iraq?

By Carol Driver

They have been searching in Iraq for the past nine years, 10 months and 15 days.

Today, the hard work finally paid off as soldiers found one of those elusive ‘weapons of mass destruction’ that Saddam Hussein was supposed to have been hiding.

You know and I know that Saddam had WMD, even after Gulf War I. You know he lied to the UN inspectors until he was blue in the face. But when our Democrats ran over there to tell him we were about to invade in 2003, he trucked all his dark arts to the Bakka Valley in Syria. Hell, satellite pictures of the convoys were on the TV news. The rest is buried in the sand. And the one thing they have LOTS of in Iraq is sand. So it could take centuries to dig everything up.

Ok, so some soldiers found a missile. That’s nice. But it isn’t WMD. It’s just a missile. A old model, short range cruise missile, used for ship to ship or surface to surface attacks. China was only too happy to sell as many of these things to both Iran and Iraq during their war.

The HY-2, often called the “Silkworm” by mistake but more properly called the “Seersucker” has a range of about 200km and can carry a 513kg warhead. 1100 pounds. Not a very big bomb as bombs go.

Could the warhead be poison gas, biological agents, or a pocket nuke? Sure, why not? All you need to do is design one that fits.* But this news article flat out says that “It is not yet known whether the seven-metre rocket is armed with a warhead.” So NOBODY KNOWS. Heck, it’s just as likely that this one is Iranian, since Baghdad is within it’s range from the border. It looks crashed, and while we all know that Saddam used gas against the Kurds up north, we’ve never heard that he launched cruise missiles against his own people.
That would also explain all the graffiti. I’m sure the Persian ord crews scribble on the bombs and stuff just like our guys do.

So this is irresponsible journalism. Don’t be fooled. It’s not WMD until they find the warhead and analyze it. And even then, it’s just one. Which could still be Iranian. Crap.

Grrr, it really chaps my ass that reporters can’t learn to identify weapons.  And they can’t differentiate delivery systems from payloads. This took me half an hour to figure out this morning, and I’d never seen a picture of a P-15/HY-2 before in my life. Do your jobs, dammit, or hand back your press pass.

h/t to Sara and Vilmar

* no information that I have found about the HY-2/P-15/SS-N-2 missile has mentioned nuclear, biological, or chemical capability. That only means that no nation that owned these things ever admitted to trying to rig such a warhead. Mostly this one was used to attack ships with, either from shore defense points or from ship to ship.

ON TRIAL FOR TELLING THE TRUTH, WHICH HAS “OFFENDED” MEMBERS OF THE ROP.

This might just be about the best I’ve read on this subject.  I know I posted earlier on the same thing. Now read ALL of this and PLEASE (!) read the translated
court summons in the link within the story.  It’ll knock your socks off it will.
Lets not ignore this kind of thing guys.  Fall asleep at the wheel and we might wake up with sharia law and your wives in burkas. Alright I may exaggerate just to make the point.  The old belief that some things couldn’t happen here (UK and USA) aren’t so firmly believed anymore.  Never know ppl.  It’s where the left will bring us.

Geert Wilders: on trial for telling the truth

By Douglas Murray
Telegraph

There is nothing hyperbolic in stating that a trial which has just started in Holland will have unparalleled significance for the future of Europe. It is not just about whether our culture will survive, but whether we are even allowed to state the fact that it is being threatened.

The trial of Geert Wilders has garnered hardly any attention in the mainstream press here. Fortunately the blogosphere can correct some of this.

Wilders is a Dutch MP and leader of Holland’s fastest-growing party, the Party for Freedom. Just a few years ago he was the sole MP for his party. The latest polls show that his party could win the biggest number of seats of any party in Holland when the voters next go to the polls.

His stances have clearly chimed with the Dutch people. They include an end to the era of mass immigration, an end to cultural relativism, and an end to the perceived suborning of European values to Islamic ones. For saying this, and more, he has for many years had to live under round-the-clock security protection. Which you would have thought proves the point to some extent.

Now the latest attempt of the Dutch ruling class to keep Wilders from office has begun. Last week, apparently because of the number of complaints they have received (trial by vote anyone?) the trial of Wilders began.

The Dutch courts charge that Wilders ‘on multiple occasions, at least once, (each time) in public, orally, in writing or through images, intentionally offended a group of people, i.e. Muslims, based on their religion’.

I’m sorry? Whoa there, just a minute. The man’s on trial because he ‘offended a group of people’? I get offended by all sorts of people. I get offended by very fat people. I get offended by very thick people. I get offended by very sensitive people. I get offended by the crazy car-crash of vowels in Dutch verbs. But I don’t try to press charges.

Yet, crazily, this is exactly what is going on now in a Dutch courtroom. If found guilty of this Alice-in-Wonderland accusation of ‘offending a group of people’, Wilders faces up to two years in prison.

If anyone doubts the surreal nature of the proceedings now going on they should simply look through the summons which is available in an English translation here It shows that Wilders is on trial for his film Fitna. And for various things he has said in articles and interviews in the Dutch press.

Now some people liked Fitna and some people didn’t. That’s a matter of choice. But by any previous interpretation it is not the job of courts in democratic countries to become film-critics. In fact it would create a very bad precedent. I thought the latest Alec Baldwin film stank. But I don’t think (though the temptation lingers) Baldwin should go to prison for it.

terror attacks by herding civilians …. ROP … as practised by mass killers.

I don’t think much of the ppl in that part of the world. They’re ignorant, they’re filthy and I want no part of them. I especially want no part of their dark age religion.  But this photo and the story that goes along with it kinda rattles my cage.  Ya have to feel sorry for that kid. So now, no mother.  What happens to her? And who treats her emotional shock?  What most likely will happen in time and not too much of that, she’ll be married off and you can guess the rest.
Hell of a great religion those folks enjoy huh?

I’d seriously like to know why it is these mass freeken murderers are referred to as “militants” as though they’re part of some freedom fighting unit or have some vague legitimacy.  They are butchers plain and simple and I’ll repeat again what I’ve said before.  They enjoy their work.  They like killing and now they have a religion to hide behind or at least make the bogus claim they are doing their god’s work. What crap. Even they know better.  This is their version of Monday Night Football.  They get off on it.  Worse yet, someway, somehow we (the west) will be blamed.  The excuse being of course that we invaded muslim lands yadda, yadda.  And the wimpy hand wringers on the left will make the case that it’s all Bush’s fault and evil America, blah, blah.  And idiots on college campuses will join in while behind the scenes, the mass killers snicker and plan the next atrocity.

I feel sorry for the poor kid here.  She is an innocent, for now.  Another scenario. The bastards will convince her that she should become a suicide bomber to avenge her mother.  That’s not out of the question as we already know they have used kids.  The cruel side of me says good. They won’t breed. But I know how uncivilized that is. It puts me on their level.  I don’t like that feeling.

Grief of young girl who survived one suicide bomb… only to see her mother die in second attack at hospital where they were supposed to be safe

By Mail Foreign Service

Her bloody face twisted in a cry of despair and fear, a young girl cradles the body of her mother in the middle of a Karachi road.

She can’t stop staring at the mess of her mother’s intestines, spilled out along the smoking, debris-strewn street.

Her eyes are dead with shock. They were supposed to be safe.

image

The pair had already survived one bombing in Pakistan today. They were at a hospital in Karachi, being treated for their wounds, when a suicide bomber blew himself up right in the middle of the ambulances.

The blast blew clothes and sandals off nearby victims. Ten people, including the mother, died as plume of white smoke rose over the hospital.

They had been deliberately targeted by militants, who knew that survivors from the first attack would be taken to the Jinnah hospital.

The cruelty of the sick ‘herding’ tactic by militants is breathtaking.

How Do You Say “Kangaroo Court” in Dutch?

We’ve covered this outspoken critic of islam before but at the moment, things not going that well for our side.  Seems the very PC Dutch ar quite happy to gag one of their own ELECTED politicians and give their country away to the islamists.  If that’s really the case, what the heck did they fight the Germans for?
Nothing I have read on the subject and I confess I haven’t read everything, indicates that the Dutch are very happy with events there. Unfortunately for them, their country is in the hands of the left.  They are concerned about immigration and they are worried about militant islam. In fact, many are just plain bothered about islam period, militant or not.  Some have “quietly” said it has no place in their culture. I think the Dutch who said that have already moved out.

So anyway ... Geert Wilders is on trial.  More like the Inquisition minus the burning then a trial. But you guys MUST read this to get a feel for how scary this actually is.  Especially from muslim authorities.

H/T TUNDRA TABLOID
The Amsterdam District Court apparently doesn’t want to hear the truth about Islam. Nor is it interested to hear the opinion of top class legal experts in the field of freedom of expression. In one swift move, the Court brushed aside fifteen of the eighteen expert-witnesses the defence had requested to be summoned.

Only Hans Jansen, Simon Admiraal and Wafa Sultan were allowed to be heard as expert-witnesses. Their testimony will be heard in a session behind closed doors. Apparently the truth about Islam must remain a secret.

Geert Wilders: “This Court is not interested in the truth. This Court doesn’t want me to have a fair trial. I can’t have any respect for this. This Court would not be out of place in a dictatorship”.
The Court also brushed aside the preliminary objections concerning its jurisdiction and the admissibility of the Public Prosecutor.

Nevertheless, Geert Wilders remains extremely motivated to seek justice: “I’m still counting on an acquittal”.

THERE IS THIS FROM THE GATES OF VIENNA BLOG AND I ENCOURAGE ALL WHO HAVEN’T READ IT TO GO OVER THERE AND DO SO.
It isn’t a short read.

It’s obvious that the Dutch government wants Geert Wilders out of the way, and doesn’t much care how it happens.

In bygone days the Queen might have murmured to herself, “Who will rid me of this troublesome blond?” And then, to please his monarch, some eager courtier would have dispatched Mr. Wilders to meet his maker.

But today’s tactics have to be different. First the government demonizes the head of the PVV, eroding his official legitimacy and making it seem as if he almost deserves a violent end. Then it puts him on trial on trumped-up charges, and declines to provide the same courtroom security for a member of parliament that it gives to Islamic terrorists.

How Do You Say “Kangaroo Court” in Dutch?

International Free Press Society 4 February 2010
By Diana West

INTL. FREE PRESS

Even if you have never been involved in a criminal prosecution wherein your very freedom is at risk, I want you to now imagine that you and your attorney have prepared a defense that includes a list of witnesses that will provide a mountain of exculpatory evidence.  Then, imagine that the Court summarily and arbitrarily decides that it will not listen to nearly ninety percent of your case.

“This court is apparently not interested in the truth.” Wilders told De Telegraaph (translations from Gates of Vienna). “I cannot conclude anything but that the court does not award me a fair trial.”

“I have no respect for this,” Wilders added. He pointed out that in a typical criminal case there are often dozens of witnesses heard.

But this is not a typical trial. This is a rigged game, a fixed fight, a show trial that is premised not on Dutch law but on Islamic law. Indeed, the trial of Geert Wilders is a test case for sharia in the Netherlands, the grafting onto a free Western country the repressive cage of Islamic rule.

Discussing Muslim progress against “Islamophobia” at the 35th meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in Kampala, Uganda in 2008, Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu made the following statement:

In confronting the Danish cartoons and the Dutch film “Fitna”, we sent a clear message to the West regarding the red lines that should not be crossed. As we speak, the official West and its public opinion are all now well-aware of the sensitivities of these issues. They have also started to look seriously into the question of freedom of expression from the perspective of its inherent responsibility, which should not be overlooked.

One reading doesn’t convey the chilling import of these words.

As we speak, the official West and its public opinion are all now well-aware of the sensitivities of these issues.

Yes, and to the craven point where “the official West and its public opinion” are paralyzed and silenced by these same “sensitivities.”

They have also started to look seriously into the question of freedom of expression from the perspective of its inherent responsibility, which should not be overlooked.

When the OIC speaks about “freedom of expression,” it means freedom of expression as governed by the laws of Islam — sharia. When the OIC says we in the West have “started to look seriously into the question of freedom of expression from the perspective of its inherent responsibility,” it means we in the West have started to regard expression from the perspective of sharia — from the perspective of the totalitarian Islamic system.

So here’s some unwashed creep with a name nobody outside his own country can pronounce ( Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu), and he’s telling the west how things are gonna be.  And so far, a lot in the west seems to be caving in.

Anti-whaling boat collides with Japanese whaler

image

Feb. 6: The ship Bob Barker fires a laser beam at whaling ship Nisshin Maru in the waters of Antarctica

The anti-whaling ship the Bob Barker and a Japanese harpoon boat collided in the icy waters off Antarctica on Saturday — the second major clash this year in the increasingly aggressive confrontations between the two sides.

No one was reportedly injured in the latest strike. The U.S.-based activist group Sea Shepherd, which sends vessels to confront the Japanese fleet each year, said a small hole was torn in the hull of its ship, but it was above the water line and the vessel was not in danger of sinking.

Sea Shepherd founder Captain Paul Watson said by satellite telephone that the Japanese ship rammed the Bob Barker — named after the U.S. game show host who donated millions to buy it for Sea Shepherd — as it blocked the slipway of the Japanese fleet’s factory ship.

Watson’s claim that the Bob Barker was deliberately hit could not be independently verified.

The Bob Barker sustained a 3-ft. long, 4-inch wide (1-meter long, 10-centimeter) gash in its hull. Welders aboard the ship were already working on patching the hole, and the Bob Barker would resume its pursuit of the whalers, Watson said.

While the typical laser pointer is labeled 5mW and is pretty harmless, you can buy green lasers 100 times as potent over the counter. A 500mW laser sells for about $3000, and has a NOHD (Nominal Ocular Hazard Distance) of 149 meters. Which means it can damage your eyes right quick at any range shorter than that. The most potent 500mW model from Wicked Laser is a Class IV laser, which is nearly a weapon. A green laser runs at a frequency of 532 nanometers. This is the same wavelength generated by a YAG laser. YAG lasers of 1.5W are used for eye surgery; 1KW to 5KW models are used to cut and weld steel. They all produce green beams of similar size. Sea Shepherd has plenty of money to spend, and no ethics at all, so there is no real telling just what kind of laser is being used in the above picture. You’ll never know if it’s a toy or an industrial weapon until it burns your eyes out.

Follow this link for a short brochure on laser safety and classification.

These greenies seem to be this close to trying to start an actual war. I don’t like whaling either, but if the Japanese whalers “accidentally” sink these fools, more power to them. If the whalers call in their navy and they shell the bastards to Davy Jone’s locker, that seems fair to me too. Assholes.

WEEKEND WOMEN

Had early visitors and they stayed. And stayed.  I guess that’s okay because we like em.  Nice ppl.  Thing is, why do parents and grandparents ALWAYS think that other folks wanna hear ALL ABOUT their offspring?  It isn’t like you can tell em to buzz off, especially when you did the inviting.  And you like em enough so that you make the appropriate noises etc., but oh gosh how boring.  Thank heaven they didn’t bring photos.  OK, it’s Sat again and I’m wondering where the week went.

AN ERA WHEN GLAMOR WAS AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE TOTAL PACKAGE.

I did one photo of this wonderful woman last week and can’t resist these follow ups. How beautiful she was.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
