EU court rules on how brits spend their cash ….

I’m not posting the entire story. You can read the rest at the link. This is some kinda crapola folks.  This is a good example of the way a country loses it’s sovereignty.
The city council is “studying the ruling.” NO damn it.  You should say FUCK YOU to the EU. Tell em if they’re so fuckin concerned about this .... person ....
let them foot the damn bill.

Man, I can’t wait to get outta this place.  Another year at least and we’ll be FREE!

Somali mother can claim thousands in UK benefits because her children attend British schools, EU judges rule

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

A Somali mother-of-four is entitled to claim about £2,500 in benefits because two of her children are attending UK schools, EU judges ruled today.

Nimco Hassan Ibrahim was denied housing assistance because she and her estranged husband - a Danish national - failed to qualify for residency rights.

She appealed the decision by Harrow Council in north-west London, claiming that as her children’s ‘primary carer’ she should be allowed to stay on in Britain and qualify for state handouts.

Today the European Court of Justice directed the Britain’s Appeal Court to find in her favour.

It said that parents of children in school have the right of residence even where they cannot support themselves.

The ruling paves the way for Ms Ibrahim to claim thousands of pounds in rent, income support and council tax benefit each month.

Cllr Barry Macleod-Cullinane, Harrow Council’s portfolio holder for adults and housing, said: ‘We are very concerned with this outcome, as it appears to establish a major new legal precedent over benefit claims.

the face of Britain’s criminal system ……..  see how it doesn’t work ….

Another great example of the Labour promise.
Tough on crime. Tough on the causes of crime.  Uh huh.  Maybe the PM should be reading this. BTW ... why hasn’t this worthless creep been made graveyard dead after all this?  Surely someone could have accidently run him down with their car.  This creepy-crawly is for sure more trouble in the future.
Take a look.  100 convictions?  What’s it take to convince authorities that some criminals (most in fact) choose that way of life. And it is always the law abiding taxpayer who has to pay their way.  I refuse to believe that euthanasia doesn’t have a very good place in the modern world. IT DOES! And the sooner used the safer and better off society would be.  In fact, had this one been hung at age 10 or 11, there would have been a few thousand (count em) a few thousand FEWER crimes caused by this useless bastard.  So then, what’s he get now?  Read on.

Teenager with more than 100 convictions turned town into ‘UK break-in capital’

By JAMES TOZER

Michael Craig has been blamed by police for turning his hometown of Burnley into the burglary capital of Britain

Their town has been burdened with the unfortunate tag of the burglary capital of Britain.

But the residents of Burnley are likely to sleep more soundly after a serial offender responsible for a large chunk of the crimes was locked up yesterday.

image

Michael Craig has committed 101 break-ins and other offences. Police say the 19-year-old is a key reason for the town’s unwanted title - and could be behind many more unsolved crimes.

Burnley has more burglaries per head of population than any other town or city in the country, with 2,154 in only a year, the Home Office revealed earlier this month.

Craig has regularly been committing crimes since stealing a car when he was just ten.
His record ranges from theft to public order offences as well as shoplifting, breach of an Asbo, affray, criminal damage, attempted robbery and common assault.

The latest string of offences began only four weeks after he was freed 12 months early from a two-and-a-half year jail term for what a judge described as a ‘frightening’ campaign of burglaries.

He soon broke into an 88-year-old woman’s home and stole her television as she slept, and later slashed the tyres of a witness after she called the police.

The pensioner, who lived alone, had been badly shaken up, felt vulnerable and had told police it would take her a long time to recover, prosecutor Sarah Statham told Burnley Crown Court.

Craig also broke into a local college three times to steal equipment including overhead projectors.

Finally he was arrested hiding in the roof space of a house and admitted a catalogue of crimes to fund a drug habit.

A police source said: ‘It’s very pleasing to see Craig get locked up but I’m sure it won’t be long before he’s reoffending again when he gets out.

‘The fact is he an absolute menace who has been a blight on the town for years. Even though he had over 100 convictions at the age of 19 it wouldn’t surprise if it was just the tip of the iceberg.

‘When the Home Office burglary figures came out a few people did wonder whether Craig had a hand in it. The figures certainly went down dramatically when we arrested him.’

Craig admitted two charges of burglary, one of criminal damage and asked for 14 further offences to be considered.

This took his total number of convictions to the staggering 101.

The judge, Recorder Andrew Long, told him he had an ‘appalling’ criminal record and jailed him for three years.

History … WW2 and William Joyce

I haven’t a clue if this is available outside the UK.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/hawhaw/8924.

But it is very interesting.  Of course it would.  The BBC has perhaps the largest broadcast archive anywhere in the world. It might be rivaled by our own National Archives but I don’t know for certain.  I just do know from personal experience and once having been taken through the area where (before computers) they had all these billions of index cards.
So anyway, there are recordings and documents from the period of historical interest.  As I have just finished reading the story of William Joyce (Lord Haw-Haw),
naturally I was thrilled to come across this site.  In reading the book, I was greatly surprised that Joyce was as well read as he was. True, he was a street brawler as well, but so were many on all sides.  It was just a surprising story and I found I was moved by his self inflicted plight.

image

If that isn’t too clear on your screen, here’s the printed version.

Dear Ogilvie,

We are getting rather a disturbing amount of reports from Public Relations Officers at Commands and from other sources which indicate that the Hamburg broadcasts in English are becoming a definite factor affecting public morale in this country. The transmissions are, I think you will agree, ingenious; and though the British public’s first reaction was one of amusement, I am not sure that the constant reiteration of Lord Haw-Haw is not having a bad effect.

There seem to us to be only two ways of countering Hamburg, namely:-

(i) To put on invariably at the Hamburg transmission times a compelling attraction in the B.B.C. home service; but I doubt whether this would be shock-proof.

(ii) To put on every evening after Lord Haw-Haw’s talk a British broadcast (possibly by a
humorist such as P.G. Wodehouse or Beechcomber) to caricature His Lordship.

3 times a day [handwriting in margin]

It is not for us to teach the B.B.C. its business, but I think you ought to know that we do take a rather serious view of the Hamburg propaganda.

Yours

[signed] Aylmer Vallance.

F.W. Ogilvie, Esq.,

still here

I’ve been very busy the past week, doing all sorts of odd jobs. I’ve got one coming up this weekend where the lady has 16 different little tasks for me to do, from patching a couple holes in the walls to installing some carved wood handles on an antique dresser to repairing some baseboard to fixing the sweep on her front door. Nothing I can’t do, but it will mean bringing a whole pile of different tools to her place to do half a day’s labor. Good thing I have lots of tools. I had better start looking for my miter box now. It’s out in the garage somewhere, and the garage is still a mess from that moving fiasco we went through last summer. Actually the house is still a half fiasco too. We never fully unpacked everything, and at this point we’re realizing that all the stuff we’ve managed to live without for the past six months maybe we should just throw out. Thin things down and simplify a bit.

We managed to win 2 games at bowling last night, but lost the wood. Don’t ask me how, but conditions were such that the straight ball rollers on the other team were hitting the headpin square on and getting strikes. Reliably. So those 120 bowlers both were scoring in the 200s. Arrgh. But that’s the game - adapt, overcome to changing conditions. I’d like to be able to write “improvise” there too, but unfortunately that’s not allowed. Though it would be loud fun bringing my 1911 and just shooting the damn pins down and then rolling the ball!

Let’s see if this will publish. I upgraded to the latest Firefox 3.6 late last night, and this morning somehow I can’t use the Preview feature in the editor, or get things to Submit. So I’ll drag out Opera and see if it works there.

cloak and dagger stuff

SECURITY STING

Found in the letters page today of the Daily Mail.
Sorry, no link to letters to editor or anything close. If you can find it, PLEASE let me know what ya did.

The writer is identified as Carl Clark, of Norfolk, UK

HAVING had dealings in the past with both British and Israeili Intelligence, I know the one thing that never happens is for Mossad to warn other agencies of what they’re up to.  They don’t trust anyone apart from themselves.  I worked alongside them for three years.

This Dubai affair is a ‘false flag’ operation and the main agency in the frame is MI6 alonside mercenary ‘deniable assets’ living in Israel and elsewhere,

Some are trying to pin the blame on Mossad, but I can promise you that the guys and gals who took part in this botched operation were expendable sources who have been compromised and have been set up in a brilliant sting by MI6 and the CIA to discredit Mossad.  Hats off to the think tank behind this operation.

When I was operating several years back, we certainlt didn’t get our faces on CCTV cameras.  Mabhouh could have been taken out without all this publicity.  Mossad doesn’t advertise.

There’s a lot of competition between the Israelis and the UK and US intellengence agencies and this won’t be the first time they’ve hijacked each others methods.

I hope but don’t know if the writer of this letter was able to prove to the MAIL he was who he said and actually did work in intel with the ppl he says he did.
If he’s telling the truth, it seems odd does it not that he’d use a word like “source” where surely “assets” is the proper description. I’m not expert so it’s only a guess.  I have to wonder as well that with the threat of terrorism we have, that the agencies would pull off stunts to discredit another agency thought to be a friendly ally. Ok, friendly may be pushing it a bit sometimes but you get the picture.  Don’t these folks need each other?
The world of spooks and cloak and dagger stuff is always fascinating.  The way the mind works. And in many cases doesn’t.
Be great to be the invisible man and hang around the conf. room to listen to what the intel agencies are saying at this moment.  I bet it would be very interesting.

schools which make girls wear skirts may be breaking the law under new laws re. umin rights.

The Mad Hattie Littlejohn refers to here is Harriet Harman, also called Harperson.  She of total equality for all and even where there is no inequality, she will find it so that she can then make it equal.  She is a left wing loony tune and I can’t quite make up my mind who is worse. The former deputy PM, John Prescott or Ms Harperson.  She is a wack job people.  She ugly too but that isn’t important.  One of those white folks born to wealth who want to play Robbin Hood with other people’s money. Wants ta be one of the common folk to show how inclusive she is. Bah.  Lyndon does a much better job of describing the pin head. Seeing her name usually sets Lyndon off so I hope he’s out there right now.

RICHARD LITTLEJOHN
The Daily Mail

Now mad Hattie’s making skirts illegal

Conclusive evidence that the world has gone stark, staring mad comes from the Equalities and Human Rights Commission , which has announced that schools which make girls wear skirts may be breaking the law - by discriminating against transsexuals.

You couldn’t make it up. A 68-page report on the rights of transsexuals says ‘requiring pupils to wear gender-specific clothes is potentially unlawful’.

It states: ‘Pupils born female with gender dysphoria experienced great discomfort being forced to wear stereotypical girls’ clothes - for example, a skirt.’

This guidance arises out of Harriet Harman’s lunatic, flat earth Equalities Bill, which is due to become law in the autumn.

Local authorities will have to take into account the effects of their policies on minorities.

I’ve no idea how many transsexual pupils there are at your average school. But I wouldn’t have thought all that many.

There was a boy at my school who was rumoured to like dressing up in his mother’s frocks and high-heels, but the headmaster felt no inclination to adapt the uniform accordingly.

Surely any transsexual’s sensitivities could be accommodated by a pair of slacks, without making skirts a criminal offence.

Just imagine the time and money wasted drawing up a 68-page report - that’s right, sixty-eight pages - into the rights of transsexuals. The U.S. Constitution runs to only six pages, and that includes a bill of rights for everyone.

Millions upon millions of pounds are wasted on this kind of institutionalised insanity every year.

Of course, minorities’ rights should be respected but not at the expense of criminalising the normal behaviour of the majority.

If this Bill becomes law, it won’t be long before this ‘guidance’ is tested in court.

This is where a demented obsession with ‘diversity’ becomes a tyranny. We are now ruled by maniacs who think the wearing of skirts should be made illegal.

LITTLEJOHN

the UK. tough on crime. tough on the causes of crime. yeah right. psst. hey. wanna buy a bridge?

There was something in the papers recently that said there had been as many as 80,000 criminals on early release and a large number of re-offenders among them.  Which came as no surprise to many. Day after day it’s the same old story.  Many with unpronounceable names btw, the result of immigration out of control. Or no. Wait. Not so out of control because it’s also being reported that the govt.  (under Labour) has intentionally flooded these shores with ppl from other places in order to make England more “multi-cultural.” The govt. also tried to release and then thought better of it, a document accusing people of racism who were critical of immigration.  You could not make that up. I’ll try and find the article.  This place has gone bananas under the present government over the last 12 or 13 yrs.
Things do not look like they will get any better or change too much under a conserv. govt.  People hope things will change but the polls are reporting the con numbers slipping. I just can’t imagine the folks here returning the left Labour Party to power.

A member of the robbery gang that killed a shop manager was on police bail for a previous fatal stabbing,

The Times

He took part in the deadly raid at a Matalan store five months after knifing a teenager during a mobile phone robbery.

Jamie Simpson, a popular shop manager, 33, was stabbed in the neck with a 10in kitchen knife during the botched Matalan raid in March 2008.

He was at large for 15 months, during which time he took part in the killing of Mr Simpson as well as being caught with a knife, cannabis, crack cocaine and heroin, before finally being charged in January last year over the earlier death.

The full extent of his violent criminal history, which began at the age of 14, was kept from the jury in the Simpson case.

Yesterday the Matalan gang were convicted: Kobina Essel — known as “Aggro”, 19, of east London, was found guilty of murder while Maina, of Canning Town, east London, and Randy Osei-Owusu, 17, of Poplar, east London, as well as Simeon Jumah, 25, were found guilty of manslaughter.

more history but ONLY for those intelligent enough to appreciate the subject. others may pass.

First, thanks again to RICH K who reminded me by sending the following which I find of interest. And since I can’t please everyone, I’ll have to make do with pleasing myself along with those of like interests who manage to spend their time doing more then contemplating their naval. Poor lonely ppl.

There have been offers made to buy this relic as high as $26 MILLION.

Quite honestly I have a problem with those who foolishly believe the swastika that’s attached to the eagle is some kind of insult. It went with the ship and down with her as well.  How much more do the hand wringers want?  And why isn’t there the universal condemnation of Soviet Communism which had a much higher toll?  I am not getting into a who was worse argument here. Just saying that history should not be altered by those who feel, “offended” or by those who feel “offended” on behalf of others.

Uruguay-Germany Rift

It appears that the saga of the Graf Spee isn’t over:

In 2006, divers salvaged the huge bronze eagle with the swastika at its base from the waters off the Uruguayan capital. It’s the swastika that is causing the trouble. The German government, as represented by its ambassador in Uruguay, is opposed to the display of the eagle with the Nazi cross. Germany, understandably enough, is sensitive about the ultimate symbol of National Symbolism. Public display of it is generally illegal in Germany although exceptions are made for historical and educational purposes.

There now seems to be some uncertainty about the ownership of the eagle. Germany believes the ship to be part of its cultural heritage. According to Uruguayan law, sunken ships predating 1973 in their waters are generally considered property of the Uruguayan state. Uruguayan businessman Alfredo Etchegaray has the rights to salvage the wreck and he doesn’t believe that Germany even has the right to express an opinion on the matter. He points out that Germany has its own share of historical relics from other countries, including the head of Nefertiti which Egypt would very much like back. Uruguayan newspaper El Pais notes that Germany contributes money to the preservation of concentration camp Auschwitz, in modern-day Poland.
image

While the idea of refloating and restoring the wreck seems far-fetched, I think that I would feel almost compelled to visit if the project ever came to fruition. Other German World War II vessels have been turned into tourist attractions, and the wreck of Graf Spee is not a war grave. Nevertheless, the technical challenges of restoring a ship sunk seventy years ago in shallow seawater would be extraordinary.

Any suggestion that Germany is unilaterally opposed to the memory of the Nazi period is bizarre; surely no other country has been as concerned with apologising for and commemorating its past crimes.

Glenn Beck at CPAC

We caught Glenn Beck’s closing speech at CPAC on CSPAN. Keynote speech? I think so. Certainly no other speaker brought it like he did. Not even John Bolton, who was superb but understated. Glenn ought to be a preacher. Took me right up. Even with his ever present chalk board. PREACH IT BROTHA, PREACH IT!!

I’m sure it’s up on YouTube by now. Go and find it, and watch. Fantastic. Best speech I’ve heard in years. He went at it for quite a long time, at least half an hour maybe more. And a couple of times what he said left the audience cold. But he was right on the money each and every time. Spoke the truth and shamed the devil. Progressives are killing America. On both sides of the aisle. My hero. And towards the end, he brought both my wife and I to tears. It was that good.

Right now it’s about 8:15pm. CSPAN will be rebroadcasting the speech at 11:30 I think.

Outstanding stuff. “Tonight we’ll go to bed with the worst hangover of our lives, but tomorrow when we wake up ... it will still be morning in America!!”

Video: Allah, the Netherlands, and the House of Orange

First of all ...
H/T EUROPE NEWS

I meant to post this yesterday, too much going on but better late then never.

This is a very short video, the speaker (Dutch) is very emotional and VERY angry.  He’s had enough of immigration and his country sucking up to muslims.

The screen crawl at the very start is too fast but of special interest is the one at the very end.  Some of you who have followed this from the past will be familiar with his name.

A video about how the Dutch Government betrayed the people of the Netherlands, and destroyed the separation of church and state. Pim Fortuyn expresses his frustration about how political correctness is destroying Holland with Islam. Very good little video.

Letters shed new light on British despair during the American War of Independence

I’m only seeing this for the first time this afternoon. Maybe you’ve seen it by now back home in the USA.  Wow and gee whiz by gosh.
This kind of stuff is beyond awesome I think.  Those letters have been held all these many years.  Does shed some light on things. Exciting stuff.
Turtler probably already aware of it. Right?  Be hard to surprise him.

A remarkable archive of letters has thrown new light on the despair of British commanders during the American War of Independence.

By Philip Sherwell in New York

image

Their downbeat perspective contrasts dramatically with the exhortations of George III and his ministers in London who come across as hopelessly out-of-touch and absurdly optimistic.

The documents, part of a collection that have been in private possession for more than two centuries, reveal a much gloomier analysis by British generals than previously believed.

According to the collection which goes on sale at Sotheby’s in New York in a series of auctions beginning in April, they began to despair of victory almost as soon as the conflict began in 1775.

A letter from Gen John Burgoyne, dated 25 June 1775 in Boston gives an early assessment of how bad things looked.

“Our prospects are gloomy,” he told an unidentified lord in a letter written after the first two battles of the campaign in Massachusetts – a humiliating defeat to a local band of militiamen followed by a victory but with heavy losses at Bunker Hill.

He described the British position as “a crisis that my little reading in history cannot parallel” and predicts even at this early stage that the Crown would only be able to subdue the rebellion with the help of German or Russian allies.

“Such a pittance of troops as Great Britain and Ireland can supply will only serve to protract the war, to incur fruitless expense and insure disappointment,” he said.

I LOVE THIS NEXT BIT.  YUP. THAT’S US OKAY.

In March 1777, Sir Henry writes that the American revolutionaries are much more “obstinate” than realised by the “short-sighted folks in England”.

Nice article and not too long.  Read the rest of it HERE
