Headline Of The Day

imageimageThe Painful Realities of Hyena Sex
Wed Apr 26, 2:00 PM ET

When a mother does her best, she expects a well-behaved child. But for top-dog hyena moms, a hell-raiser is preferred.

Alpha females give a hormone boost to their developing cubs, making them more aggressive when fighting for food and increasing their chances of survival, according to a study in the April 27 issue of the journal Nature.

The extra hormones also inspire young males to mount females early and often, giving them a better shot at performing their tricky mating dance correctly down the road.

You won’t believe how hard the act is, and why.

Stop Right There!

Now, if you really insist on reading the rest of this then I will provide you a link to the story. However, I cannot be responsible for any harm that may come to your brain and if you upchuck on your keyboard, don’t blame me. With that said, you may now continue your journey into the wild world of hyena sex ....

Down And Out In Paleswine

They already hate our guts. They celebrated in the streets on 9/11. I want to know how they are going to have “increased hostility toward the West” and what gives these cretins the right to demand money from us? How on Earth did so many stupid people gather together in one spot? These jerks have bitten the hand that feeds them over and over again. They stir up trouble wherever they go. Even the Arab world has little use for the Paleosimians other than as a spear aimed at Israel. Human vermin is what they have always been and will always be. Time to call Orkin ....

April 27, 2006, 7:06 PM EDT

NABLUS, West Bank (AP)—Buying on credit. Selling gold dowries. Giving up tobacco and other small pleasures. With their salaries weeks overdue and savings depleted, Palestinian families are finding creative ways to survive the Hamas-led government’s deepening financial crisis. Even banks and utilities are helping out by allowing customers to overdraw accounts or pay bills late.

Experts warn that a dire economic crisis is looming. “This month, no one paid me,” said Kifayeh al-Ashkar, 40, who cleans houses for government workers in Nablus. “The government can’t pay the salaries of its workers, and the workers can’t pay me.” She said she now feeds her four children plain rice, and has been forced to beg for handouts of milk.

The financial crunch follows the January legislative election victory of Hamas, an Islamic militant group sworn to Israel’s destruction. After the new government was sworn in last month, the Palestinian economy, already battered by five years of fighting with Israel, took a turn for the worse. Western donors who accuse Hamas of supporting terrorism cut off hundreds of millions of dollars in aid, and Israel suspended monthly payments of tax money it collects for the Palestinians.

Without these funds the government is broke and unable to pay its 165,000 salaried workers. No one got paid April 1, and the next pay day is less than a week away. “Life has changed drastically. I don’t know how to manage,” said Elham Yassin, 48, a teacher in Asira, a village near Nablus. Yassin, a mother of seven, earns $500 a month, while her husband, also a teacher, makes about $550. She said the family got a loan from her sister and is subsisting on bread, hummus, yogurt and other inexpensive staples.

“I don’t know where things are going. We don’t have any savings. I’m afraid for the future of my family,” she said. The Palestinian Authority is the largest employer in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and the loss of these salaries has rippled throughout society. “This money has played the role of a lifeline to the economy,” said Samir Abdullah, a Palestinian economist.

With so many people living on credit, he said, “We will see people on the streets very soon.” He also predicted increased hostility toward the West, public unrest and even renewed fighting with Israel if the situation continues much longer.

Uno De Mayo

Get ready for next Monday. Illegal aliens are going to be marching in the streets, demanding to be forgiven of the crime of breaking and entering. Their “purpose” is to shutdown major cities in the US. If this keeps up, sooner or later sombody is going to get hurt. Mark my words. A backlash is brewing ....

May 1 Protest Aims To “Close” Cities
Apr 27, 4:52 PM (ET)

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Pro-immigration activists say a national boycott and marches planned for May 1 will flood U.S. streets with millions of Latinos to demand amnesty for illegal immigrants and shake the ground under Congress as it debates reform.

Such a massive turnout could make for the largest protests since the civil rights era of the 1960s, though not all Latinos—nor their leaders—were comfortable with such militancy, fearing a backlash in Middle America.

“There will be 2 to 3 million people hitting the streets in Los Angeles alone. We’re going to close down Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Tucson, Phoenix, Fresno,” said Jorge Rodriguez, a union official who helped organize earlier rallies credited with rattling Congress as it debates the issue.

Immigration has split Congress, the Republican Party and public opinion. Conservatives want the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants classified as felons and a fence built along the Mexican border.

Others, including President George W. Bush, want a guest-worker program and a path to citizenship. Most agree some reform is needed to stem the flow of poor to the world’s biggest economy.

“We want full amnesty, full legalization for anybody who is here (illegally),” Rodriguez said. “That is the message that is going to be played out across the country on May 1.”

Organizers have timed the action for May Day, a date when workers around the world traditionally have marched for improved conditions, and have strong support from big labor and the Roman Catholic church.

They vow that America’s major cities will grind to a halt and its economy will stagger as Latinos walk off their jobs and skip school.

Teachers’ unions in major cities have said children should not be punished for walking out of class. Los Angeles school officials said principals had been told that they should allow students

Crime & Punishment

I just got a hot tip from John over at StopTheACLU.com about the lunatic professor at Northern Kentucky University who was recently fired for destroying an anti-abortion display with help from her students. I turns out she is probably going to do a little jail time and pay a fine along with the students involved. Do you think this fascist beeyatch will learn a lesson about freedom of speech? Nah. Leftists never learn anything. Too stoopid ...

imageimageA professor and six students at Northern Kentucky University were charged Wednesday with misdemeanors related to the April 12 destruction of an anti-abortion display on campus.

Sally Jacobsen of the literature and language department, has been charged with criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking and criminal solicitation. The third charge relates to evidence that she encouraged students to participate in the destruction, County Attorney Justin Verst said.

The six students, who range in age from 21 to 27, were charged with criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking. The theft charge is a class A misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and a $500 fine. The criminal mischief and solicitation charges are class B misdemeanors punishable by up to 90 days in jail and a $250 fine.

Verst said additional students might be charged as their identities become known. Four hundred crosses representing aborted fetuses were pulled from the ground and thrown in trash cans around campus. A sign explaining the temporary display, which had been approved by university officials as an expression of free speech, was also removed.

Jacobsen told reporters that she had “invited” students in her graduate-level British literature course to exercise free-speech by destroying the display. She said she was offended by the simulated cemetery, which she considered intimidating and harmful to women who might be considering abortions. NKU’s campus newspaper, the Northerner, published photos of Jacobsen dismantling part of the display.

Since the incident became public, NKU’s president has received hundreds of e-mails from throughout the country condemning the professor’s actions. She was placed on leave last week, and substitutes were assigned to her classes for the rest of the semester…

Bad Dogg

And you wonder why Europeans think Americans are arrogant and pushy? It’s incidents like this that give all of us a bad name. Gangsta rappers are enough of a pain in the ass here at home. Why do they have to take their miserable attitude overseas?

Snoop Dogg In Airport Fracas
Thursday, April 27, 2006 - 6:41 a.m. EDT (10:41 GMT)

LONDON, England (CNN)—American rapper Snoop Dogg was in police custody on Thursday after being arrested with five other men following a violent disturbance at London’s Heathrow airport. The star was held by police when a row broke out after his 30-strong entourage was refused entry to the British Airways first-class lounge.

His party then moved to a duty-free shop where it is alleged they threw bottles of whisky to the floor and argued with staff. Police were called and were escorting the group away from the scene when a further disturbance broke out, Scotland Yard said. Seven officers received minor injuries—mainly cuts and bruises—and one suffered a fracture to the hand.

A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: “Police were called at 6 p.m. last night to reports of a disturbance involving 30 people in a business lounge at Terminal 1. “The party was told that they would not be permitted to board their flight and officers then attempted to direct the group to baggage reclaim.

“A number of the group became abusive and pushed officers.” Six men aged in their 30s, including Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, 34, were arrested on charges of violent disorder and affray. The spokesman added: “The men, who are all U.S. citizens, are in custody at two West London police stations.”

Full Circle

How many of you remember the last time OPEC had us over a barrel? I remember it all too well. At the time, I was working as a field electronics technician for Altec and my territory covered Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia and half of Kentucky. I was on 24/7 emergency call and had to do a lot of driving to respond to emergencies with electronic equipment in hospitals, theatres, schools and government offices. I remember all too well the long lines, service stations closed and even a good deal of price gouging (that was later punished). Life was hell if you had to drive anywhere. I had no choice.

What have we (and our politicians) learned in the 33 years since then? Not a damn thing, it seems. We’ve come full circle. Our vehicles get no better gas mileage even though engines are more efficient because of all the anti-pollution devices snaking their way under the hood. Have we opened up new drilling in the US? Not a chance. Have we built new refineries? Nope. Have we built more nuclear power plants to reduce dependence on oil? Not on your life. No, the environmental freaks have silently managed to keep us in the same position we were in back in those evil days - over a barrel.

Our politicians aren’t helping one danged bit either. The Democrats want to raise taxes on the oil companies and the Republicans want to send all of us a $100 rebate check. Who do they think they’re kidding? This is an election year and they want our vote. If we have the technology to send men to the moon and roving scientific gizmos to Mars, why can’t we come up with a viable alternative to gasoline? At least drill for more oil in Alaska or wherever so we can ride this out while we do develop the technology that will enable us to thumb our noses at the Arabs and the Hugo Chavez’ of the world.

If we don’t do something we’ll just keep going in circles, round and round, lurching from one oil crisis to another at the whim of madmen. Just remember - people who drive around in circles never get anywhere other than back where they started from. That’s not pro-gress. It’s con-gress ...

imageimageThe 1973 Oil Crisis

The 1973 oil crisis began in earnest on October 17, 1973, when the members of Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC, consisting of the Arab members of OPEC plus Egypt and Syria) announced, as a result of the ongoing Yom Kippur War, that they would no longer ship petroleum to nations that had supported Israel in its conflict with Syria and Egypt (i.e., to the United States and its allies in Western Europe).

About the same time, OPEC members agreed to use their leverage over the world price-setting mechanism for oil in order to quadruple world oil prices, after attempts at negotiation with the “Seven Sisters” earlier in the month failed miserably. Due to the dependence of the industrialized world on OPEC oil, these price increases were dramatically inflationary to the economies of the targeted countries, while at the same time suppressive of economic activity.

At the height of the crisis in the United States, drivers of vehicles with odd numbered license plates were allowed to purchase gasoline only on odd-numbered days of the month, while drivers with even-numbers were limited to even-numbered days.

Is Our Kids Learning, Part XLV

This young lady is apparently in a race with Deborah LaFavre for “Oversexed Female Teacher Of The Year”. Pamela just won’t let the kid go. Arrested, tried, convicted, served time, violated probation, splashed herself all over MySpace.com, and now back in jail again. Whazzup wid dat?

imageimageEx-Tennessee Teacher Jailed Again
April 27, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT

McMINNVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—A former teacher who served time in jail after being accused of having sex with a 13-year-old boy was arrested for the second time in two weeks, with prosecutors saying she contacted the victim again and sent him sexually explicit videos of herself.

A judge on Wednesday ordered Pamela Rogers, 28, who had been free on bond after an April 11 arrest on a probation violation charge, to remain in jail until a July hearing.

Prosecutor Dale Potter had said he would seek to revoke Rogers’ probation and send her to prison for seven years. Potter didn’t immediately return calls Wednesday seeking comment.

Rogers’ attorney, Peter Strianse, said he would have to question his client’s mental competency if prosecutors substantiate the new charges.

“If they’re able to prove this, it would show an incredible lack of judgment,” Strianse told the Southern Standard newspaper after Wednesday’s hearing.

The latest charges contend that Rogers, who was arrested Monday, reached the now-14-year-old student by cell phone just hours after her April 12 court appearance. Authorities said she previously contacted with the boy and his teenage sister by text messages and via the Internet.

Rogers pleaded no contest last year to having sexual intercourse and oral sex with the student, who attended the elementary school where she formerly taught.

In a deal with prosecutors, she was sentenced to a six-month jail term and long probation under the condition that she not contact the victim or his family or use the Internet.

I just got back into town after a long flight. I’m tired and worn out from the last five days but much happier now that certain events are set in motion. I hope you all had a good time while I was out. My. Christian seems to have gone on extended shore leave. Hmmmm. Thanks, Ronnie, for filling in.

I see only the Monday essay made it. I’ll have to check and see what happened to the scheduler. In the meantime I’m going to take a long, extended shower and grab a nap. Breaking News

This just in. The White House just made the announcement that there will be fresh meat thrown to the press. Fox News commentator Tony Snow is in for the ride of his life. Kinda like a crash-test dummy ...

Tony Snow to Be White House Press Secretary
Wednesday, April 26, 2006; 9:36 AM

Fox News commentator Tony Snow was named White House press secretary today after top officials assured him that he would be not just a spokesman but an active participant in administration policy debates, people familiar with the discussions said.

A former director of speechwriting for President Bush’s father, Snow views himself as well positioned to ease the tensions between this White House and the press corps because he understands both politics and journalism, said the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the appointment had not been officially confirmed, although an announcement is expected today.

Snow will become the first Washington pundit—and an outspoken ideological voice at that—to take over the pressroom lectern at a time when tensions between journalists and the administration have been running high, over issues ranging from the Iraq war to investigations involving leaks of classified information.

“President Bush hates responding to the press, hates responding to political enemies—he thinks it’s beneath him,” Snow said on Fox News in March. “He’s got a stubborn streak.” What the president needed, he said, was “a series of vigorous defenses” of his position.

Brit Hume, Fox’s Washington managing editor, said he was “a little surprised” that Snow would give up his new radio show to take one of the capital’s most demanding jobs.

“I think he’s excited by the idea of being on the inside,” Hume said. “He believes he will be at the table when decisions are made. For someone of his bent, that’s too good to pass up.”

The N-Word?

Question: What’s worse than a stupid Mexican? Answer: A stupid Mexican attorney. This one is completely fruit loops. If we can’t use the word “ILLEGAL” then what do we call what they are doing? “Other than legal”? “Law avoidance”? Give me a break, Garcia!

Hispanic Attorney Says Using Term Illegal Alien Racial Slur
April 25, 2006 08:47 AM EST

(CONSERVATIVE VOICE)—Appearing on KLIF Radio’s Gregg Knapp show, attorney Domingo Garcia said that using the terms illegal alien or illegal immigrant is a “racial slur”. Garcia said that those who use it, in reference to Hispanics, are racist.

Knapp advised Garcia that using the term “illegal aliens” or “illegal immigrants” is an accurate term applied to [their] legal vs. illegal status in the country and a true depiction of the fact that they are illegal. Garcia said: “Using words like illegal alien is like calling people derogatory names…like calling people nigger!”
