More Stupid Liberal Trickery From Moron.Org

image

I’m sure you have all heard about Moron.org’s latest crap, trying to pass off British soldiers as American soldiers in a recent advertising campaign against the war in Iraq. The morons were caught faking a picture, then tried to cover it up with another photoshopped picture, then finally gave up and pulled the ad. However, they did manage to convince several donors, who were obviously even stupider than them, to part with $350,000 in donations. There’s one born every minute ...

(CNS NEWS)

The liberal political group MoveOn.org has yanked a video ad from its website after being criticized for using images of British soldiers to represent Americans in Iraq. The 30-second ad, which also began running on CNN and cable stations during the Thanksgiving weekend, stated that “150,000 American men and women are stuck in Iraq” this holiday season.

But the ad showed soldiers who were “not wearing U.S. uniforms,” according to a Pentagon spokesman who was interviewed by Cybercast News Service Wednesday, approximately two hours before the Internet version of the ad was pulled from the MoveOn.org website. “Some folks won’t be home this holiday season,” the 30-second spot declared before showing a video pan of a group of soldiers getting military rations. The narrator then stated that “150,000 American men and women are stuck in Iraq.”

Todd Vician, a spokesman with the U.S. Defense Department, told Cybercast News Service after viewing the ad that none of the men featured in the photograph was wearing U.S. uniforms. “We don’t have that style of desert camouflage,” he said. Vician noted that combat fatigues worn by the Marines and the Army have “a pixilated design,” and Air Force BDUs (Battle Dress Uniforms) have a different pattern than the uniforms shown in the spot.

In addition to the men wearing foreign uniforms, Vician stated that he had never seen U.S. soldiers using meal containers like those shown in the ad. The spot contains another discrepancy. While the photo of the soldiers as seen in the advertisement shows one man wearing shorts, a still of the same picture on the MoveOn.org website shows the same man wearing long pants.

A Nov. 21 press release from MoveOn.org Political Action indicated that the advertisement “echoes Democrats’ calls for an exit plan from Iraq” and attacks Republicans for “failing to offer a plan to end the U.S. occupation” of that country. The video ad itself concluded with the following: “Tell your representative. Support our troops. Bring them home.”

Your Daily Assignment

OK, gang! Listen up! Here is your daily assignment. Read the story below very carefully and follow the link to get the rest of the details. Feel free to take a moment to feel damned proud of our troops for doing a job that the Left says can’t be done. Then I want you to all to carefully examine the media over the next 24 hours. Check out the Washington Post, New York Times, Chicago Tribune, the LA Times, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, FOX, etc.

First, I want you to report on how many of these Liberal “journalists” actually report this story. Second, I want a report on how many of them did report it but had to add a “but” and a disclaimer from some dip-shit talking-head to play down the success of our troops. Bear in mind that this is not George Bush’s accomplishment. This is an accomplishment by our fine men and women on the ground in Iraq. Let’s see if the Left really means it when they say they are against the war and Bush’s policy but for the troops. Let’s just see ....

(- A big thanks from the Skipper to all our troops in Iraq & Afghanistan. Well done! -)

imageimageBombings in Iraq Fall to Seven-Month Low
BAGHDAD, Iraq (MYWAY NEWS)

The U.S. military said Thursday that suicide bombings fell in November to their lowest level in seven months after joint U.S.-Iraqi operations west of the capital. In Ramadi, the U.S. military played down reports by residents and police of widespread attacks against American and Iraqi installations there, saying only one rocket-propelled grenade was fired at an observation post and there were no injuries.

An AP Television News video showed the insurgents walking down a shuttered market street and a residential neighborhood, as well as firing four mortar rounds. The masked men, however, appeared relaxed, and the U.S. command dismissed the video as little more than a publicity stunt. Also Thursday, Iraq’s interior minister fired his top official for human rights in connection with a torture investigation. Gunmen attacked Saad al-Obeidi, an adviser to Iraq’s defense minister, seriously wounding him along with two of his bodyguards, police said.

Maj. Gen. Rick Lynch told reporters that suicide bombings fell to 23 in November, which he attributed to successful U.S.-Iraqi military operations against insurgent strongholds in the Euphrates River valley west of the capital. “His weapon of choice is suicide bombers,” Lynch said of the insurgents. “In the month of November: only 23 suicide attacks; the lowest we’ve seen in the last seven months, the direct result of the effectiveness of our operations.”

Silliness Alert

Oh, ye of such little faith! Listen up! For the last time, I want to make this perfectly clear .... AMERICA DOES NOT HAVE A MONOPOLY ON IDJITS! Yes, believe it or not. There are morons all over the planet and they’re wasting precious oxygen. Take the people described below ... especially the two “intellectuals” in the picture. I ask you ... what would we do for entertainment if these idiotarians were not around? We’d probably have to go back to whoopee cushions and fake dog crap to get a good laugh now and then. So whenever you get a chance, encourage these idjits. They’re a barrel of laughs, especially when they become so stoopid they manage to take themselves out of the gene pool ....

Animal Rights Activists Arrested in Wellington
NEW ZEALAND (SCOOP)

Three Wellington animal rights activists were arrested this morning after locking themselves to a truck from a local factory farm. The truck belongs to Premier Bacon company, which intensively farms and slaughters pigs in Carterton. Protestors locked themselves to the truck while the driver was making deliveries to a central city cafe. About twenty other protestors also joined the action, urging the large numbers of spectators and passers-by to go cruelty free this christmas.

More than 800,000 pigs are farmed for slaughter in New Zealand each year. Over 600,000 of these pigs are confined in factory farms, where they have no access to fresh air, sunlight or open space. They are housed in either individual crates or crowded concrete pens. At the end of this the pigs are taken to a slaughterhouse, where they are shot with a electric bolt gun and then killed.

After about 40 minutes of being locked to the truck, police cut the activists from the truck and arrested them. The two protesters locked to the front of the truck have been charged with ‘disorderly behaviour’ and ‘unlawfully interfering with a motor verhicle’, and the third, who was locked on top of the truck, was charged with ‘disorderly behaviour’ and “unlawfully gets upon vehicle”.

All arrestees have now been released.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
