Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth

Elan Journo and Dr. Yaron Brook of the Ayn Rand Institute have finally vocalized something that has been preying on my mind since the war in Iraq started. We’re fighting the right war but doing it in the wrong way.

Fighting a compassionate war is immoral; it is costing the lives of American soldiers in Iraq and emboldening our enemies throughout the Islamic world.

The horrific suicide bombing in December of a U.S. mess tent near Mosul and the assassination on Jan. 10 of the deputy chief of Baghdad police--the second Iraqi official murdered in five days--are further indications that the war in Iraq is worsening. Things are going badly not because, as some claim, the United States is arrogant and lacking in humility--but because it is self-effacing and compassionate.

The Bush Administration’s war in Iraq embraces compassion instead of the rational goal of victory. Such an immoral approach to war wantonly sacrifices the lives of soldiers and emboldens our enemies throughout the Middle East to mount further attacks against us.

Regardless of whether the Iraqi dictatorship should have been our initial target in the war against totalitarian Islam, when in the nation’s defense a President sends troops to war, morally he must resolve to soundly defeat the enemy while safeguarding our forces and citizens. But America’s attention has been diverted to rebuilding Iraqi hospitals, schools, roads and sewers, and on currying favor with the locals (some U.S. soldiers were even ordered to grow moustaches in token of their respect for Iraqi culture, others are now given cultural sensitivity courses before arriving in Iraq). Since the war began, Islamic militants and Saddam loyalists have carried out random abductions, devastating ambushes, and catastrophic bombings throughout the country. That attacks on U.S. forces (including those engaged in reconstruction efforts) have gone unpunished has emboldened the enemy.

DAMN! I couldn’t have said it beter if I had tried.

Forgive me for saying so but it is past time to take the gloves off. Let the military start having public executions (and public torture of “insurgents” involving razor blades, alcohol, hot coals, dildos .... use your imagination). If another hot spot like Fallujah pops up, bomb the fuck out of it until there is no stone left standing. Tell Syria and Iran that the next ignorant fucking suicide bomber that crosses their border with Iraq bent on destruction will result in a “nucular” bomb being shoved down their throats (or up their ass - choose your orifice carefully). Teheran and Damascus will be made to glow in the dark for thousands of years. Unleash the Marines ... give them a standing order: if anyone even looks at you sideways blow their ass away. Allah can sort them out later.

General Grant didn’t win the Civil War by building hospitals and railroads. He won it by killing the enemy. General Pershing didn’t run the Germans out of France by being nice and offering to build sewers and highways in Germany. He won it by kicking the hun all the way back across the Meuse River. General Patton .... same story, thirty years later. Kill the bad guys and come home. That’s the American Way, by God!

What the fuck has happened to us, America? We throw our troops in harms way and tell them to “play nice”? Fuck that shit! War is about one thing: killing the enemy .. dead. If I’m a soldier in combat, I don’t give a rat’s ass what the enemy thinks of me. I just want the fucker to stop breathing! And if the Iraqis won’t stand up and defend themselves by helping us then they can all go to hell too. The pussies at the State Department can take their silly little mustaches and “sensitivity training” and shove it up their ass! Case closed!

Rargh!

BMEWS Official Policy Announcement

As most of you are aware by now, Vilmar and I stay on the warpath pretty hard during the week routing out evil Barking Moonbats wherever they stick their little heads up out of the ground. When the weekend comes, however, we usually take a break and hilarity usually ensues. The weekend is when we let out hair down and give you the nekkid women and the weekly awards .... plus we just generally try to have a good time and relax. This is because we figure if we obsessed over the idiots in the gene pool seven days a week, we might become one of the looney bunch ourselves. So bear this in mind (and mind the bears, especially the Cubbies).

Now can some reputable source tell me who in hell kidnapped the entire Indianapolis Colts team and replaced them with the Cincinnati Bengals in Foxboro today? I have never seen so many dropped passes, interceptions, fumbles and just generally bad football since .... since .... the last time the Colts played the Patriots in Foxboro in winter .... never mind .... now I get it.

You better hurry up and vote in our Super Bowl Poll (right sidebar). There are only four teams left: AFC - Pittsburgh vs. New England and NFC - Philadelphia vs. Atlanta. I’m still picking Pittsburgh in spite of their lousy showing against the Jets on Saturday. Both division championship games next Sunday will be played in Pennsylvania, starting at 3:00pm EST on FOX. Are you ready for some football?

It’s almost Monday so .... we now return you to our regularly scheduled program .... already in progress ....

The Sounds Of War

I’m sitting here firmly ensconced in my “Moonbat Seeking” chair trying hard to find pictures for one of our readers who so desperately wants to see this dame in full body mode when I hear (and feel) these “thump!” “thump!” “thump!” sounds.

At first I thought it was my neighbors’ kids with their boom-box cars idling in the driveway.

Then I realized it was the sound of cannons from a Civil War re-enactment going on in Brooksville almost 12 miles away.

So then I think, “ that’s what war sounds like!”

And here’s what it looked like, re-enacted as the Brooksville Raid, last year.

Barking Moonbat Of The Week Award

This week’s award goes to one of our readers. This individual sent me a picture of Ms. Olympia, Rachel McLish and asked me to post it with the promise that he would later send a full-body shot of Ms. McLish. Needless to say, this wanker reneged on his promise and now says I posted the picture and that I promised the full-body shot of Ms. McLish and that I should fulfill my promise. In addition, this individual leaves comments that sound rather like he is three or four cans shy of a six-pack (if you know what I mean). So for the first time in our history we are regretfully going to have to “finger” one of our readers ....

Yes, this week’s Barking Moonbat Award goes to:

Weekend Pinup

Ahhhhhh .... my favorite Vulcan. Jolene Blalock stars as T’Pol in “Star Trek: Enterprise” on UPN. The show is now in its fourth season and I still watch it .... no, not because of Scott Bakula. I’m in love lust with a Vulcan.

Here is my favorite Vulcan in costume.

image

Here is how she feels about that damned uniform.

image

This explains why I just know she would absolutely love me.

image

I would just love to wake up some morning and see this in my bed. Rargh!

Hmmm, let’s see .... tie her up and tickle her ass with a feather?

Now, that’s a sultry wench if ever I saw one. I’ve got “wood fever”.

Which?  Who? (Part 1)

If you had to choose JUST ONE, which would it be and who is she?

The “who” part of this should be a piece of cake.  The “which” part?  Now, THERE’S a dilemma!!

Passing The Torch

I received this from a friend (Steve C.) as a humor piece. I got to thinking about it and .. well, read on ....

At a recent USC football game, a college student challenged a senior citizen sitting next to him by stating it was impossible for their generation to understand his.

“You grew up in a different world,” the student said loud enough for a large group of people nearby to hear.

“Today we have television, jet planes, space travel, man has walked on the Moon, our spaceships have visited Mars, we even have nuclear energy, electric and hydrogen cars, computers with light-speed processing and ....uh..”

Taking advantage of a pause in the student’s litany, the geezer said, “You’re right.  We didn’t have those things when we were young; so we invented them, you little twit!  What the hell are you doing for the next generation??”

What are they doing for the next generation?

1- Inventing “rap” music
2- Voting for idiots like Kerry
3- Inventing “homosexual marriage”
4- Sponging off their parents until they’re fifty years old
5- Participating in “naked protests”

Feel free to add your own items to this list ....

Good News For Wine Lovers

Recent wine conventions and exhibitions along with good advertising has resulted in a clamoring for a wine that is a bit finicky and requires much attention. Shunted aside are the Merlots, Burgundies, Zinfandels, Cabernets, and Shirazes.

That wine?  The Pinot Noire.

But vintners have taken the development of this wine to a new level which should see its sales skyrocket among certain age groups.  The wine industry is now focusing on its efforts to develop a wine that is NON-DIURETIC!!  I don’t know about you but as soon as I begin drinking ANY kind of wine, within hours I am tapping my bladder and making room for more.  As I get older I find myself going less but more often.  Very irritating, especially at night.

This new wine should be the answer to all our prayers.  Imagine the sales success it will have among our senior citizens!  Imagine not having to run to the pissoire (pardon my French!) every half hour!

I can’t wait for it to hit the shelves!!  Check it out!

It’s name?  Pinot More

Anti-Bush Mob Identification

The Leftist Bush-haters have completely lost their minds. Not satisfied to lose the election, now they have to make a fashion statement to advertise their mental affliction. This obsessive-compulsive behavior based n nothing more than a trumped-up hatred of one man is ridiculous. I wonder .... who will they hate in 2008? And more importantly, can we now refer to these birds as “Blue-Banded Sap Suckers” .... since the bird name “Dodo” is already taken.

Anti-Bush Bracelets Say, ‘Count Me Blue’
Fri Jan 14, 7:21 PM ET
By ELIZABETH LeSURE, Associated Press Writer

NEW YORK - After spending 10 days in London with friends who were outspoken about their disdain for President Bush (news - web sites)’s policies, Berns Rothchild came home wishing she had a way to show the world she didn’t vote for him.

“I sort of felt ashamed, and didn’t really want to be associated with being an American,” said Rothchild, who lives in New York City and voted for John Kerry (news - web sites).

Her mother had a suggestion: bracelets, inspired by the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s popular “LIVESTRONG” bands, that would signal opposition to Bush.

Thousands of miles away, two women in Idaho had the same idea. So did a woman in Kansas. The result? At least three separate bracelet ventures targeting left-leaning citizens who want to wear their political affiliation on their wrists — and at least one competitor bearing the opposite message.

Rothchild, 35, is selling blue bracelets that say “COUNT ME BLUE,” while Laura Adams, of Fairway, Kan., offers blue bracelets that say “HOPE.” The McKnight family, of Moscow, Idaho, is even more direct; their black bracelets proclaim: “I DID NOT VOTE 4 BUSH.”

“It’s kind of like saying, ‘This is my tribe,’” said Adams, 43, a Kerry supporter, who was inspired by her 14-year-old stepson’s yellow Lance Armstrong band.

A Million Here .. A Million There ..

.... pretty soon you’re talking real money. I think it was Vanderbilt who said that. He was dead right. We just threw $350 million at an ungrateful country (Indonesia) who now wants us to just give them the money and get the f**k out of their country. Lousy, eh? Maybe not as lousy as the huge amounts of money our government wastes every freaking day. I got a tip on this story from the Association For Computing Machinery (a professional organization for computer geeks that I belong to). It caught my eye because I worked for SAIC on a long government contract at the NASA Stennis Space Center several years back. I’m sure their asses are puckered up at SAIC’s headquarters in San Diego after this story broke ....

New FBI Software May Be Unusable

WASHINGTON — A new FBI computer program designed to help agents share information to ward off terrorist attacks may have to be scrapped, the agency has concluded, forcing a further delay in a four-year, half-billion-dollar overhaul of its antiquated computer system.

The bureau is so convinced that the software, known as Virtual Case File, will not work as planned that it has taken steps to begin soliciting proposals from outside contractors for new software, officials said.

The overhaul of the decrepit computer system was identified as a priority both by the independent commission that investigated the Sept. 11 attacks and by members of Congress, who found that the FBI’s old system prevented agents from sharing information that could have headed off the attacks.

Since the attacks, Congress has given the FBI a blank check, allocating billions of dollars in additional funding. So far the overhaul has cost $581 million, and the software problems are expected to set off a debate over how well the bureau has been spending those dollars.

The bureau recently commissioned a series of independent studies to determine whether any part of the Virtual Case File software could be salvaged. Any decision to proceed with new software would add tens of millions of dollars to the development costs and render worthless much of a current $170-million contract.

....

A prototype of the Virtual Case File was delivered to the FBI last month by Science Applications International Corp. of San Diego. But bureau officials consider it inadequate and already outdated, and are using it mainly on a trial basis to glean information from users that will be incorporated in a new design.

Science Applications has received about $170 million from the FBI for its work on the project. Sources said about $100 million of that would be essentially lost if the FBI were to scrap the software.

Folks, this is what we pay our taxes for. Our hard-earned dollars are being pissed away by government contractors. I know because I used to be one. I can’t tell you how often stories like this happen but I can tell you that according to OMB estimates approximately 80% of the software bought by the Department of Defense is useless and discarded. Now you know ....

Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
